It wasnt bad other than sallie's bad VA but i wont praise it for doing the bare minimum. It felt like a shitty attempt to give millie focus for once except it obviously falls flat because it's sallie who is the real core of the conflict, one easily solved. On one hand, people gonna like how there is no drama for once, but it doesnt feel honest to me. It feels like vivzie was too coward to have the token trans character be sad so you get this hecking wholesome showcase of support and none of their their alleged "rivalry".

Also, this show did not need another character with family insecurity issues...

I mean as I posted Vivziepop didn’t even write the damn episode. It was Sallie’s VA who wrote it.

Cause if Vivzie wrote it, it would be all about Moxxie proving himself to Millie’s family or something

Yea you can tell vivzie didnt write because no one says fuck every two sentences, but she must've approved, if not asked for it.

There is also the question of "Why vivzie ask the trans VA to write this?" and the only logical answer i can think is that vivzie doesnt want to entertain the possibility of being called transphobic and she told the va to write a short family fic and dodged all responsibility. At best she gets praise for supporting trans people, at worst she can ignore it completely.

like 60% of Millie's dialogue was just her laughing. Even when she gets her own "episode" she has to take a back seat like @LucasSomething said

I'm glad Millie got some sort of spotlight but god damn someone else had to do it for her.

I’m not sure why Viv and others have such a difficult time characterizing Millie. They try to hype her up as the badass wife of Moxxie but she’s just so…flat. I liked the short alright yet I feel like there’s so much still missing to her personality.
Its because as someone pointed out earlier, Moxxie and Millie's entire dynamic is just based off tumblr shipping archetypes.

I've lost a lot much of my m interest regard Vizie's work in the past, ever since they dropped the assassination thing to do more of the luteral gay drama.
I was about to watch the short because I thought seeing something about millie would've been interesting, before noticing the pronoted sticker below with the imp dressed as a trans flag.
Let's face it: the character writing is so bad that literally anything would be seen as a miracle at this point. vizie is a fanfiction writer, i'm not even sure she could create something better than even the marvels.

The conflict itself doesn't even make much sense. Sally Mae mentions that she has been running the farm solo when Millie left, and I'm just like "wow, way to show how highly you think of your family". Where was this shown in the Harven Moon episode? Maybe if Sally Mae got more screentime then, we could SEE that, but it appeared to me that the whole family was doing their part. The parents even hired extra help, so why does Sally think that she has all this added responsibility? Millie even mentions this to her in the exact same short!

You already have the conflict of two siblings who miss each other's company because of one them moving away, and it's hard to visit one another because life gets in the way. Why add another unnecessary layer to it all that was never even show before? It makes no sense. NONE OF THIS MAKES ANY GODDAMN SENSE.

Have you SEEN the actions they've committed?

It took only five minutes of thinking about that to completely change my feelings around Angel Dust and how we're suppose to feel for him. Nah, he's in hell for a reason. It's so funny how we only get mere references of him being in the mafia (accent and him using tommy guns) instead of getting any actual development regarding the kind of things he probably got away with doing back on Earth.
I was thinking about a redeem quality about Angel Dust regarding his criminal family's past, one would have been that he wasn't too much involved or he was forced to do the dirty work, then I completely give up the moment I realized his backstory is the same thing as Moxie. They both have:
- Mafia family
- Shitty dad, (and said Angel's dad is probably homophobic too), Absen/Dead mom.
- Both of them escaped their family in some ways.
- Both don't mention their past to their colleagues and friends.
- If at some points angel's past is revealed with his dad, the plot would probably be the same as in helluva boss ("angel meet his dad out of nowhere")
The only difference with those two is angel has siblings and is a porn star... That's it, the creativity is really low.

It's a shame, really. This woman's the embodiment of "great ideas, terrible execution". I mean, imagine Valentino finding out about Angel Dust's past. Imagine him getting the info from Arackniss, who he bribed into telling. He would use that as an excuse to keep Angel Dust in his grasp even more by constantly reminding him how much of a hypocrite he is, getting mad at Valentino for abusing him despite he probably did worse to his victims and enemies during his mafia days.

Something like that would crush him, lowering his confidence and putting him even more into submission as he's forced to remember the past that he never wished to remember. He knows Valentino has a point, and he knows he can't really make a counterargument other than "I was forced to kill them!" because Valentino will just interject it and say,

"And yet, you did it anyway. Your brother informed me how you still use those Tommy Guns in hell. If you hated your Mafia life so much, why ya still use those guns? Why you still wear that occasional mafia hat? You're nothing but a liar and deceiver. You're no better than me. You're no better than any other sinner in hell, so don't pretend you're some helpless victim. If I was not in your grasp, you would've still continued that mafia career here in hell, with no regards to the people you hurt."

Valentino's being a hypocrite himself, but that's the point. He wants to make Angel Dust hurt, no matter how much his actions may correlate with his since both of them killed for material wealth and gain. All he cares about is keeping Angel Dust in submission and keep him detracted from Valentino's actions and only focus on HIS (Angel Dust's) actions.

They already ruined the whole mafia junk with Moxxie and his dad, and I know they'll only ruin the mafia dynamic with Angel Dust and HIS family, and all it's gonna do is either make him the victim or barely do anything with him at all. There are ways to creatively find a way to fix stuff like this, but it does take some thinking and rummaging through the garbage dump to find the one good item to use to your advantage.

Because Vivzie clearly didnt put REAL thought into Millie's family at that point and what consequences it could have in the future of her character. Harvest moon festival tricks you into thinking it's about Millie when it's actually about striker. The thumbnail makes it clear.

Mollie's family just exists to give her fake depth that is completely disconnected from the main plot (yaoi angst) allowing vivzie to make up "filler" shit when she feels like it, which is the case with the short. Vivzie emembers enough to have Millie say she was at the festivalbut not enough that Sallie wasnt working alone and has a supportive family.

btw it's starting to hit me that every "Millie centric episode" isnt really about her, it's about the one or two people related to her being insecure and millie reassuring them. She is more of a narrative device than a character.

I believe It really all stems from Viv being a huge Yaoifag. She wants Moxie to be the effeminate sub in these gay relationships, but somehow wrote herself into a corner by having him be married to Millie. Worse, its the one relationship that people actually almost universally like in her gay fantasy drama.

Its super fucking weird but that is why I believe Viv really only puts superficial focus on Millie because she truly doesn't give a shit about the character, or worse might even hate the character since she keeps getting in the way of her OC's being in gay relationships but can't get rid of her because her relationship with Moxie is so popular.

Also the Stolitz duet from Full Moon got leaked and, yes, it really is that bad. Warning for shrieking fangirls.
Christ, this is a lot to take in. I got a lot to say about the trailer. Not gonna lie, I'm excited but I know there's gonna be some merit of disappointment. But we won't know until the episode releases next month.

I just hope to GOD we get more character development and less of The Stolas Show, but I'm not taking my chances at this point, honestly. Good to know the leaks didn't change anything. I wonder if they'll keep the whole "Millie being suicidal" scene, though. That's a really OOC thing for her to experience.

But then again, S2E5 exists.

>Stolitz front and center
>Loona is still a voiceless prop
>IMP are now ghost hunters?
>More "jokes" that are just swear words and sex references

You know I used to like this show but holy fuck. They have doubled down on literally everything people have a problem with. Erica Lindbeck not coming back to voice Loona is such an elephant in the room and I'm really curious how much longer they can keep up the lie that she and Viv are still on good terms.

As a Verosikachad, I'm happy to see her again...but you just know they're going to find a way to make her unambiguously the bad guy (aside from being a literal succubus of course) since Blitzo is no longer allowed to actually be in the wrong.
