The thing is people were complaining about it when the pilot initially aired, but if they knew anything about Brandon Roger's videos, they wouldn't have been so "Pikachu surpise face" about it because that kind of humor is right up his ally. Didn't really matter that they backpedaled though, because is the episode where Blitzø acknowledges he can't say retarded anymore, people still complained that he was making fun of a mentally handicapped person. And all I'm thinking about this is "who the fuck cares? They're demons in Hell. Why are you expecting these kinds of characters to have the same moral standards as you?"

I swear, "kinning culture" really pushed a huge setback on fictional characters cause people are putting themselves way too much into them. No wonder people got upset that Jax from TADC was just a funny asshole. Because apparently the only good kind of asshole is a "nice asshole". And I'd argue that kind of asshole is the biggest asshole of them all.

There is the other side of the coin too, the modern internet users who cant tell reality from fiction WILL tell you how much of a horrible human being you are for liking them. This is why people prefer "unproblematic assholes". Characters that are edgy/jerks (therefore "hot") but not too offensive or irredemable so random strangers on twitter won't try to dox or witch hunt you for liking them.

Hazbin allegedly had a mini drama on tumblr/twitter when Alastor threatned husk because it made him "problematic". Being a cannibal serial killer is detached enough from reality for women to find hot but slave torture? That's just awkward ya know?

Note that vivzie is partially at fault for setting up expectations too. Most of vivzie's "edge" comes from swearing, sex, violence and "non political" insults, on top of being an lgbt ally (and bisexual??). You already know you'll never see Alastor calling someone a faggot or nigger.

The pic captures the exact problem with it. She tries SO HARD to try to make everything sexy to her audience of 14 year olds, but the artstyle just doesn't work in its favor toward that, the characters are made out of basic-ass looking shapes, when you look at someone like Alastor and try to imagine what he looks like naked, you just imagine a geometry quiz but with a dick. Stella, Lilith, and MAAYBE Striker are the only characters I'd consider actually attractive.

He was a dick to her, but not in a way that I'd think she wanted him dead. The ending really confused me and made me like the show a lot less.

For a show set in hell it sure lacks of what makes hell hellish. This dimension is really not all that bad and to me seems like a pretty decent place to live. From what i've seen the worst of what is shown in Helluva Boss and Hazbin is just gang warfare and murder. But it's no worse than it is on earth. I thought this was supposed to be a place of eternal damnation and suffering not fucking Chicago.

Disney like story means like Disney+ and Calarts shows, where the original plotis dumped or forgotten about so the show can focus on anything else.

Take Amphibia, Owlhouse, Steven Universe, Star Vs, etc. they all have a similar pattern; show has a cool premise, wruter gets bored one episode in, and derails the main story arc into grand plot to save the world/pointless romance/lgbtq shit.

I really believe the entirety of this show's popularity that doesn't come from an already existing fandom comes from the fact that it isn't a shitty remake of a different show, and has an actually unique artstyle, especially as an adult cartoon. Regardless of your opinion on the artstyle (I flip flop between liking it and hating it based on the character.) you can't deny that when you look at it you definitely think "Yeah, Viv made this".

What I mean by Fandom, is the stuff that gets popular over the internet. That's why Amazon Prime got in touch with Glitch about their show, "The Amazing Digital Circus". Because of now, they're most watched original animated show on Amazon Prime is Hazbin Hotel. Yes, it has even surpassed Invincible. Be shock as much as I was.
