I’m aware that sex isn’t always love, but why would Stella at least try to engage in it with Stolas without the intention of producing offspring? The only reasonable explanation is that she actually tried to make the marriage work, like she did love Stolas. Of course, the anti-Stella crowd could argue she raped him, but why would she even bother if she despises him that much?

I'm super late, but finally watched the new Helluva episode. I really enjoyed the side plot with the cherubs. When the show remembers it's supposed to be a wacky cartoon, it can be a lot of fun. The conflicting personalities between the cherubs and their reaction to hell is great. But fuck, the amount of times I rolled my eyes during the melodrama at the end. I felt like I was watching Steven Universe with all the crying. It just sucks.

In the episode, she did also say she was glad she didn't have to keep pretending to want to fuck "his sorry twig ass" after Octavia was born, so it seemed like they stopped having sex once their job was done.

Then again, she continued to sleep in the same bed with him even after Octavia was born. Which makes no sense if she hated him all this time. There must be multiple bedrooms in their house, so it's not like she had to sleep in the same bed. She even said "our bed" when she was yelling at him about sleeping with Blitzø, so they slept together even up to the cheating.

It's funny, because people love to say that Stella wasn't retconned, because we didn't get to see much of her in season 1. But these same people will over analyze one shot to prove that Stolas and Blitzø apparently love each other. They just want to ignore the context clues when it doesn't please their theories.

Stolas says things like "I tried so hard to make it work but it was never enough. I only endured your cruelty so that girl could have a normal life" except this only works if BOTH were pretending but that's contradictory with what is currently happening.

1-If Stella "faked love for the sake of Octavia" then she tried her best too but Stolas says like only he tried.
2-If Stella never faked then Octavia would be aware of her parents hating each other and not have a good childhood.

I keep seeing redditors say "octavia was too stupid to tell" but no, kids are not retarded. Octavia would be able to tell if daddy and mommy dont love each other, and she already said so after Stolas started cheating. If Octavia was THAT stupid to not realize Stella hates stolas, she would see no difference post cheating.

And for my own rambling, i really dont like that Stolas speech. Stella clearly blames HIM in particular but he doesnt empathize at all despite going through the same thing, instead he instantly goes to "IT'S NOT MY FAULT I TRIED MY BEST!" when i'm not convinced he did, because he clearly doesnt try his best with his own daughter.

Oh, they're deep in their so called theories - that being, as you said, overanalyzing one shot of Blitz and Stolas and treating it as definite proof of their nonexistent prostitute relationship - but not through defined observations. Instead, they make theories that they expect people to hear, to appease to them so they won't get blasted or told they're "supporting an abuser". I've seen a good few videos that wanted to defend Stella and reprimand Stolas but the countless times of "I'm not justifying her abusing Stolas by any means" lines from those videos just to save face miff me out really hard.

Can't even be a Stella defender publicly for goodness sake. It's no wonder I hardly see any videos defending Stella, and if there is one, I know it'll get blasted by diehard Stoliz fans. I've seen more people defend and give info and pointers about her characters in this thread alone than any other area on the internet. So I thank you fellow Kiwis for letting me hear y'all out and y'alls observations. Discovered a lot more things about her character from a lot of you.

Like take her to an amusement park she is no longer interested in, brought along the source of why he and his wife are fighting because he needed "bodyguards" even though he is powerful enough to defend himself, and constantly flirt with the source of the marriage issues.

But its all okay cause he had one talk with his daughter where he attempted to give empathy.

He also clearly loves her because when she got lost in LA, he uh....showed how much he cares by getting into wacky shenanigans with his side piece.

But its okay because she got a pep talk about dads from another teenage girl who probably has no clue what the fuck is going on (I doubt Loona knows any of this shit)

See Stolas is a caring and loving father.

But it will all be okay when Vivzie has Stella beat her child with an iron or force things onto her just to double down on how EVUL she is.

If Helluva Boss takes that route, it will be a true comedy, but not in the way Vivzie intends.

Honestly Stolas would be a fine character if he were written with self awareness that he's a shitty person.

He reminds me of someone else who doesn't give a shit about their children, treats his wife terribly, has a gay relationship on the side while holding a lot of power. I wonder who that reminds me of....

That's what i meant. Octavia is smart enough to realize their relationship changed for worse and she contradicts the idea that Stella always hated Stolas but no one can ever adress that line, not even sarcastic chorus.

The most i ever see is "No shut up kids are stupid" (already condtricted by previous comment) or that "Stella gaslighted octavia into thinking she was a good mom" (lol).

Also also some random-ass thing that i'm reminded, back in Ozzie's Asmodeus was mocking Stolas for sacrificing everything he built for an imp and Stolas covers his face in shame which is really weird in hindsight isnt it?

Why does Stolas see a dissappointed Stella and then covers his face in shame from blitzo back then? Stella hates him and he loves blitzo so why would he feel ashamed when he doesnt in season 2?

Also why is asmodeus mocking Stolas in public and singing about "I hope you didnt give it up" and "You sold your life for a trust; That's the spirit of LUST!" when he turned out be someone who says lust is all about CONSENT and TRUE LOVE and is willing to fight for him imp lover? I dont think it's meant to be intentional hypocrisy here, but ozzy and fizz turned too popular so she woobified both.

Stolas, in comparison, is at much higher risk of losing everything because he's just "middle management"; one of Hell's jannies, if you will. Considering how many Goetias there are, he could easily be replaced by faggot bird #4756 and no one would probably even notice or care.

Mind you, this is just me coming up with schizo crackpot theories to make sense of the plot. The much simpler answer is that Vivzie just fucking sucks at writing.
