You know, I just thought about something. What are the directions for these shows at this point?

So, apparently, redemption will be accepted by Heaven in season 2 of HH, and.. then what? What's going to be the main contrived plot for season 3? (If it even gets greenlit) Vivzie is literally shooting herself in the foot.

What about HB? Season 2 focused on this gay melodrama between Stolas and Blitz. What comes after? Are there going to be more episodes about this 'romance'? I honestly can't see the next episode just being a comedy about hellborn hitmen killing humans again. Like, what's the point? The other main characters already had their 'dedicated episodes'. Now what? Genuinely.
Yeah Hazbin is kinda fucked because they've already burnt through all their pilot material in only one season. Helluva Boss can just continue on indefinitely like this because the "main plot" is Blitzo getting over his trivial personal problems.

Season 3 will probably deal with Lilith/Eve and season 4 would probably deal with the Root of All Evil crap to end the show.

If we absolutely had to deal with the Vs for the second season and have redemption both be proven possible and accepted by Heaven this early on, I would change it from the Vs being the season antagonists to almost all, if not every Overlord wanting to put a stop to the Hotel, but the Vs would be leading the charge. It would be widely viewed by them as potentially destroying their power, since Overlords gain it with every soul that they own.

Not only could someone who's soul is owned potentially get freed by getting into Heaven, but Overlords should love to take advantage of the most vulnerable, I imagine that most people who sell their souls over had only just died and are desperate, if the Hotel promises not only an opportunity to redeem oneself, but also a free roof to sleep under in a relatively safe environment you could see why they would view it as hurting their business so to speak.

But an important part of this is instead of just three Overlords who are already banded together you have enough of them working together that they have a majority of Sinners under their control, making them much more of a threat than just the Vs alone so it mitigates the whole stakes issue, while also showing that Overlords are almost universally extremely power hungry and will attempt to destroy anything that they deem to be a threat to their power.

You could even show a bit of grey morality, that weapons dealer may love her daughters and do anything to protect them and helped the Hotel to stop the extermination by giving them a bunch of weaponry, but now she realizes that same Hotel now proves a threat and wants to put a stop to Charlie's plan, because at the end of the day she got sent to Hell since she was an overall shitty person and got to where she's at by being an even shittier person than she originally was.

It's so funny how these can be so entertaining yet boring; so much happens while nothing happens at all. It would have been nice if this was more focus on Verosika's and Blitzø's relationship; what got them together and how they broke up. But nope. We have to focus on Stolas again, because he's just that interesting apparently. Everytime he was on the screen and interacted with Blitzø, those were the most annoying ones. Plus, I don't know what happened to make Blitzø switch into this horny, desperate, and jealous fuck towards Stolas. He's been feeling out of character for the past two episodes.

Speaking of Blitzo and relationships, were all those people at the party actually his exes? Like, did he actually date these people, or were they sexual flings he had? Because that's a huge difference. Also the line "these people cared so much about you that they throw a party once a year to how much they hate you". What a bunch of petty bitches! Was Blitzø really just that great that it hurts these people this much that he didn't want to be with them? All I can think when I see these demons play party games about killing Blitzø is "Oh my god! Get over it! Can you really find no one better than this fucking imp?"

There's no direction. It's all just fanservice at this point and we can't do anything about it. Hazbin's gonna continue going against its entire premise to boost up merch sells for the V's and The Stolas Show's gonna continue being The Stolas Show. We can only cope, seethe, and accept.

Y'know, that's what I've been curious about. We don't know the context between these ex's. We just know they're his "ex's", but there's a severe lack of context behind them all. She doesn't bother to bring up such contexts cause that would actually give some merit of reasonable humanity to Blitzo. Knowing Blitzo, he's definitely gotten into random hook ups that lasted for a few hours or a day at least. Maybe the "ex's" who was hooking up on him became a Stolas and had genuine feelings for him but he never reciprocated them back - because, y'know, it's a sexual fling and it's not meant to be anything more than that - and they got upset that Blitzo wasn't seeing their hookup as something meaningful.

So unless there are real, actual contexts to what Blitzo exactly did to all these ex's or demons that despises him this much to where they're going to an annual party where the whole's shabang's just hanging around other hellborn who also hates him, I'm not buying this at all. I'm not buying that Blitzo caused this many people to have a grudge on him at this caliber. There's no way this many people refuses to move on from a random imp who probably forgot their existence ten minutes after their hookup with him ended.

He's flawed but he's becoming less reasonably flawed and more "for the sake of the plot" flawed as in, going out of character and suddenly having a whole group of haters - who we didn't even hear or have had hidden clues to have heard about from past episodes - out of the blue.

I've never seen a show be this inconsistent and groundbreaking with how it butchers its characters, man. I'm sympathizing for Blitzo of all characters now because for the past two episodes he's just been seen under this antagonistic light so the audience can continue feeling bad for the neglectful, cheater owl dude.

This feels like a huge elephant in the room worldbuilding wise. Also, I'm 90% sure Viv stole that from something else. Maybe she wanted to put in a Halloween episode in the middle of the summer

The irony is that this didnt matter at all because humans had no relevance. You could've made it take place in a random hell club and simply not mention anything. Not only it raises question of why it's possible but also why sinners/demons dont simply leave hell for the sake of it?

I could tolerate Episode 8 a bit, but Episode 9 where it was just Blitzo Bashing, the episode? The episode where Stolas is STILL being treated as the victim here and NOT the preparator and that EVERYONE's eating it up? Just a few paragraphs won't do for me.

I'm almost curious to see how the hell sarcastic chorus will still pretend the show is well written and Stolas is this a hyperdeep flawed individual after this episode. There is no way to interpret this narrative other than "Stolas did nothing wrong and Blitzo is the one who drove everyone to hate him".

The bashing doesnt even make sense from a logical progression of narrative standpoint. "Blitzo is selfish and can't apologize" doesnt land that hard when Blitzo already apologized to Fizz and they're friends again. Considering how the last episode was finished a day before release, it's likely that vivzie is making shit up as it goes.

Pfft, not to mention he physically reacted to what she yammered about right in front of him at ear shot, so he WAS aware someone was attempting to assassinate him. He WAS aware that his own ex-wife told him directly that she wanted him dead and that she wanted to make sure it happened.

Or did poor Stolas forget cause his mind was too focused on how was he was gonna sexually exploit his imp plaything?

Maybe he thought it was an empty threat. That could be a different reason. But we don't know if he took it seriously or not, so I'm going with the first assumption.

There's no excuse. Viv eats her scripts and ask an ChatGPT to add in what's left off.

The 3 writers need to use the money they make for therapy.
I don't think the writers are working through any sort of trauma with the show. Viv seems to enjoy writing about daddy issues, but as far as I know, she has a fairly normal relationship with her family. Or at the very least, nothing has come out and she's never commented on it, and she doesn't seem like someone who would hold back if she had actual personal issues to vent about. I think it's only included because in her highschool mentality, damaged characters are cool and deep, and daddy issues are a pretty common source of angst. The other? Relationship issues. And I think it goes without saying that's the other clear driving force in her writing.

I think it's also why a lot of her relationship stuff comes off as very weird/tone deaf most of the time. She's never had a "mature" relationship so she doesn't have much personal experience to draw on. I'm not saying you have to have personal experience with everything you write about, otherwise we'd have a lot of writers with side careers as doctors/lawyers/soldiers/space captains/alien superheroes or whatever. But you at least need to have some general idea of what you're writing. It's why a lot of highschool writing is bad and cringey, the majority of high schoolers just don't have enough real world experience for most stories. That's how you end up with this YA-tier melodrama.

I don't think Viv needs to suddenly live a traumatic life or anything, but she should at least immerse herself in those types of stories to draw inspiration from and get a bigger view on the world. Watch some character driven dramas, read something that isn't a tumblr blog, talk to people whose relationship understanding goes beyond what ships are hot.

*Edit* beat me to the punch as I was writing this, but....
Vivienne Medrano and her fanbase are fujoshis who never mentally matured past high school.
sums it up quite well.

This. I don't know how he keeps talking out of his ass pretending HB is some Shakespearian tragedy when all of it is superficial at best.

Stolas asking when he has looked down on Blitzo or pretended he just wanted to get laid is strange, it's happened before actually. Specifically in the Harvest Moon episode, when he's explaining his book is important and he needs it for the festival. And in the first episode when he talks to Blitzo about returning the book.

Knowing how Sarcastic Chorus talks out of his ass, he will either ignore it or make it out to be Stolas burying his emotions or something equally retarded. Vivienne doesn't even remember her own continuity and at this point the latest episode is just full of gay couples for pride month, I guess.

As someone who has never actually seen HB and primarily knows about it through posts on this thread, I keep getting the vibe that it's basically Clone High if those writers didn't know they were making a comedy.
