New animated series on Vivienne "Vivziepop" Medrano's (bias may apply to your interest of show) Youtube that gained a fanbase for as far as 2014 since she opened her Patreon and went into production since then. Over time she and her team were showing off various characters, gave trivia on them, and had general fun on Viziepop's streams (Vivzie Streem and QnA's), Ashley Nichol's Art's stream (Animation cleanup and Huniecast) and the streams of other members of the team.

It wouldn't be until December 16th, 2017 that Viv posts a teaser of the show

And months later posted a trailer of the show on April 20th, 2018

Then, on October 28th, the pilot of the show was posted and has about 2.4 million views now

And Twitter was FUCKING quick to get the show, the team, and Viv canceled for reasons that I barely know about.

And that's about it for the knowledge. Have a good time in Hell!

EDIT (8/7/2020):

On July 17, 2020 the Hazbin crew released a music video featuring Angel Dust and his terrorist friend Cherri Bomb containing mature content that isn't just graphic language and dark humor. It has culminated 23 million views at the time of this edit.

On August 7, 2020, the Hazbin Hotel crew have successfully gotten themselves a deal with A24, an entertainment company that is well known for producing movies like Hereditary and Midsommar. Any details of this deal have not been explained at this time.

I’m impressed the team came together and got an independent animation done in their spare time. Can’t wait for Long Gone Gulch for the same reasons.

I really liked the pilot. It was Vivzie’s designs and style but the animation wasn’t too bouncy and all over the place. Characters were unique and had interesting designs. I agree there’s way too much red, pink, black and white when it comes to color pallets but it looks like they tried to fix that? There was more blues and purples in the full pilot compared to teasers and concept art.

Favorite character was the Radio Demon. Only because of the radio effect on his voice which wasn’t always consistent.

I would recommend watching it. At least for Charlie she’s pretty cute.

It's... okay so far. Nothing spectacular writing wise. The animation's really good for something on YouTube. The pacing was a huge mess, though. Too much thrown at you all at once, no room to breathe. But, it's the pilot and hopefully subsequent episodes will be better about that. There is potential here.

And of course Twatter had to cancel everyone, that's just what they do whenever anyone creates something that's not a Marvel or Disney movie.

Looks godawful. Why was twatter trying to get it cancelled?
I've seen a few reasons so far:

-The creator drew a picture of ShoeOnHead.
-The creator didn't reee when people drew NSFW fanart of their asexual character.
-The creator drew a picture of Blaire White.
-A hispanic character gets mad sometimes.
-That hispanic character is voiced by a hispanic person who is not dark enough.
-There's a gay character who does bad things. (The character is in Hell, so IDK what they expected.)
-The creator thinks Callout Culture is bad.

They are referring to the show as "H slur"

Oh you forgot they tried to falsely accuse her of associating with someone they claimed was a pedophile (they weren't), then later claimed she was a pedophile for artwork she drew when she was 15, and racist for commenting under a joke of blaire white's of her in a facemask that was black (Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what the joke was Blaire made)
There were also "screens," of comments of her apparently being racist, etc that turned out to be out of context and not fucking joking here they also tried to spread around that she also tried to sue disney over zootopia being like her zoophobia comic (This is false due to no legal document exist showing this and vivian also confirmed this never happened).
Then the funniest one that vivian is an art thief because she was friends with someone and they design a character together and when she stopped being their friends made a new character similar to it.

The only one I can't show anymore is this funny ass slap fight she had with someone named The Angry Librarian over character design and all that exists of it now is the librarian person saying why they took it down.

There is a whole nest of lulz that was happening for this was released, you all should check it out, it is the funniest shit you will see.

I watched it expecting nothing and was... not dissapointed, but I didn't love it.

The plot is confusing and the only way to fully get it is by reading the wiki or by being a long time fan, there are visual clues for understanding it all over the episode but the animation but everything goes way too damn fast.
The songs were really fucking annoying too.

The animation is good but expensive, the creators are trying to pitch this series to either Netflix -a streaming device that cancels series when their animators try to unionize and - or adult swim.

I really wanted to like it but it made my eyes hurt. I showed it to my husband, who is a complete normie and he couldn't even finish the episode.

And the saddest part is that, while the story was interesting, they clearly don't know were to put the focus.

Regardless, the pilot is very popular and maybe one of the desired networks will pick it, but they're definitely going to ask Vivie to change stuff for it to work and legend has it she doesn't taking criticism well.

Yeah there are some cute and clever visual gags (The screen-demon guy in the brothel with a girl-demon taking a selfie with him) but it all goes by so fast that you have no time to drink it in.

Personally i'd rather get a new episode every few months and just have it be a fun little passion project, I think that makes it more endearing which is helpful when the visuals are sometimes kinda cheap looking.

That... actually wasn't all that bad. I enjoyed it for the most part, and I liked the spread of vulgarity. The anchorwoman was hilarious, and I did like the radio man. Did seem a little fast, but my guess is it would slow down as an actual show. I don't mind the color scheme, but I also don't mind a lot of color so that's just me.
Here's a link to someone saying why they don't like it. He censors himself quite a bit, but he also approaches the review from a pretty balanced perspective (he thinks people freaking out about racism and homophobia is stupid).

One thing that I disagree with him on is that he says the adult humor is awkward with some of the more childish gags (people getting smashed by rocks or other objects). The slapstick gags just filled some space, and I don't think anything was taken away. There are two/three right at the start and its just to show how shitty Hell is.

All in all I'd be interested in seeing more. Fills a similar niche to that newer Harley Quinn cartoon they're working on.
