I went through this whole last thread and all I found was this piece of merch which makes me believe that they bend the knee because of this shit and there might have been like a small shitstorm that went down but I don't know too much about that.

Minor world-building quibble. Ars Goetia, when translated, means roughly "the art of demon-summoning". Ars is Latin for art or technique, and Goetia is from Greek γοητεία, which means witchcraft. In essence, the term refers specifically to the practice of evocation as a magic ritual.

I don't think any high-ranking demon would want to deliberately refer to their entire class by the words that mortals use for the practice of summoning and binding them to their will. Evocation arts are all about mortals commanding demons to get them to do useful things. It's basically a form of slavery. Stolas claiming membership in the Ars Goetia is like a black guy proudly calling himself a cotton-picker.

I know its been a while since I mentioned the HH Critical Community, but it seems like this Stardust (Now going by Starlatte27) person has learnt nothing from the frequent drama she's gotten into both the forums and Tumblr to the point several callouts have been made against her. For those who forgot who she is, this post here is a great introduction to her.
The 6c6/fuzzieboots person is dating the radiotrickster person but I don't have much information on the rest. From what I've seen radiotrickerster and 6c6 got into conflict with the petitprincess1 person but they all seem to be united against Stardust. The situation is overall a mess but I believe I should've archived most of it.

If grim reaper exist in this hazbin hotel universe I will feel bad for him because of the shit that IMP and CHERUB try to pull
For Example:

IMP Is killing people before their designated time

CHERUB is Keeping people alive beyond their designated time (i know they are banned from heaven but who is gonna stop them they could just keep doing it as means to get redemption)

in utter chaos because of the fact they are dead

Regardless of how little a loss it is, it is a loss. Executives are usually not going to chance on something like Hazbin when they could pick a clone of family guy that is not banned by these markets and already been shown to be successful.

The streaming boom caused by the devastating over reaction to the pandemic (I refuse to say its the pandemic itself) and the success of edgier adult animated shows like Rick and Morty are the primary reasons this show had any chance to get picked up. I am happy it did as it does have quite a bit of polish and quality not usually seen in animated internet projects, but this is truly a show born from perfect timing.

The fact that every major corporation has been tripping over themselves to pander to the gays as much as possible every June leads me to believe that angering the hardline Christian market is nowhere near the profit killer that it used to be. Also, I don't know why you credit Rick and Morty in particular, considering it's usually very low on the edginess scale by the standards of an adult comedy cartoon — hell, South Park has been far edgier for decades, and even specifically makes fun of Christianity every chance it gets. (Also, while it's not animated, I'll take this opportunity to shout out Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell, which deals with the same ideas as Vivzie while being, imo, funnier). I'd say Hazbin's weird art style and presentation is going to be a bigger obstacle than its edginess — it deviates drastically from the look and feel people have come to expect from adult cartoons.

The fact that old media that panders to anti-Christians is dying and subscription services that openly tell Christians to fuck off typically lose a bunch of subscribers in the after math says otherwise. I am not saying all Christians do this, but its a significant enough market to not be fucked with if your a sane human being. The current crop of retarded executives are not sane human beings though.

I am not saying hazbin shouldn't have been picked up, but its only due to the given environment in the behind the scenes entertainment industry that it did. I am happy it did, but I am not going to delude myself and think its because of the quality of the show that got it picked up by executives who wouldn't know quality if it fucked them in the ass.

I'm actually curious, are A24's executives really as braindead as you say? Their film division both has a pretty good critical track record and doesn't shy away from films that are very experimental and auteur, which indicates, to me, that they make their choices based on what they think will be high-quality rather than what will generate maximum safe, easy profit like most execs. But, in all fairness, I don't know anything about their TV division, so you may be correct there.

I am more speaking in general for TV media. Movies are very different from TV. A24 has a fantastic track record with movies, but that is a genre where they are allowed to take far more risks due to the investment only lasting a relatively short period of time (1-5 years) with historically large profit margins. To sum up, you can afford to target a much more niche market and still get a return.

TV shows are long term investments often taking on 6+ years and can potentially cost far more with a far lower profit margins that has to appeal to a more diversified market. Looking at the field in general, movie execs tend to be of a much higher quality because movies are seen as the "apex" of entertainment media in Hollywood. Most TV execs are failed or underperforming movie execs, which doesn't help since TV requires more skilled executives at the helm than movies. I say most because shows like the Sopranos and breaking bad have really elevated the position in the eyes of Hollywood, though it is still seen as lesser. A24 also is very new to the world of TV media, so I don't know if their TV execs have the balls and knowledge their movie execs have.

Regardless, Hazbin was really lucky to get picked up at all and would have frankly never been picked up in a world where streaming had not rapidly become the preferred method of watching TV and creating a world where TV appealing to a niche market could make a good return on profit. The fact that A24 picked it up is a good sign that the risky nature of their movie execs might have rubbed off on their TV execs, hopefully the quality did as well.

Her joining in on cancel mobs in hope that the people who hate her for drawing shoe0nhead fanart will leave her alone, but this will never happen.

She's not trying to get those weird tumblr people to back off, though, this is her pandering to people in the animation industry - people in the industry consider tumblr to be abusive, harassing, toxic etc. (spiderman-pointing-at-spiderman.jpg)

I've seen some of these Twitter animation industry clout accounts go from go from hating Hazbin to 180ing & going YASSS SO EXCITED once these pandering tweets started piling up.
