I mean, it was just a very polite “fuck you”, essentially.
Being polite and "fuck you" aren't really compatible things. Simply saying "sorry I'm going to continue being me" despite being hounded by insane, shrieking lunatics isn't "fuck you." Insane, shrieking lunatics with deranged demands may feel that being told that is like being literally murdered, but it isn't.

Wow. I thought she was better han this, but shes just another insufferable twitter cunt. My disgust at how fake people are grows every day.
Everyone on Twitter is utterly horrible. Even people I otherwise like are horrible on Twitter. The fact is that anyone who is too into partisan politics these days doesn't view anyone in the other party as just wrong, but actively evil and literally trying to destroy society entirely, so anyone actually supporting their party with money is a Nazi/Communist and must be destroyed.

Twitter/plebbit just has the leftists and the insane echo chamber that intensifies this even more. At least something like /pol/ which also has a phenomenon of people trying to be the edgiest Nazis imaginable at least used also to be full of pure shitposters and trolls and leftists fucking with the regulars, with the lack of updoots and downdoots and the anonymity meaning it didn't turn into a complete shit pit until after 2016 when the normal population became completely overwhelmed by plebbit refugees and normies.

Vivzie responds to the criticism. Also featuring that chick the guy who voices Frieza is boning.

I wish people would just learn to shut up and stay off social media. I think everyone would be a lot happier.
Therein lies the conflict, you see. Stay on social media and sacrifice the overall quality of public dialogue in exchange for sympathy whoring? Or abandon social media and improve the ability for yourself and others to articulate themselves, at the risk of losing the guaranteed positive affirmations of your followers?

I've already made my choice, and I'm definitely happier now. Let's hope Viv learns to do the same...

I really like her shows, but seeing her making comments like this all the time can really tarnish my enjoyment of it. Thankfully, I avoid reading her Twitter for the most part.
I like her stuff a lot, too. Her personal politics isn't unexpected from somebody of her background, both profession and family-wise, but I certainly did find it to dampen my enjoyment of her creations. I've long since learned to just ignore her personal postings online, which is all the more easy for me since I formally abandoned social media back in January. On a personal level, I'm just happy to see artists who are clearly talented like her actually get mainstream recognition, since it's a sign that a new wave of creative minds is on the cusp of entering the popular zeitgeist.

The way I see it, or at least rationalize it, is that if I determined the content I could enjoy based on the political opinions of those who created it, I wouldn't enjoy anything. It's either bad Twitter takes in the background of an otherwise well-made series of cartoons, or affirming the dominance of my personal views, at the expense of anything fun. Tough break, I'd say.

But hey, if we decide to laugh at everything, at least we can enjoy Viv's art for what it is, as well as laugh at Viv's mishandling of social media discourse, right?

I think Viv is talented and for the same reasons Scott gets a pass on his personal viewpoints, I really can care less. There is nothing morally reprehensible about either's actions, when weighed against their creative output. Then again, I didn't grow up in an age of narcissism and depravity brought about by social media.

Which I think is the real culprit of social media: moreso than the fact that its easier to flat out fucking lie, its that we're empowered for our stupid insights that we believe matter.

Jesus fucking Christ. What the fuck is with these art fucks and throwing people under the bus after people supported them from a hate mob? J. Scott Campbell did this last month. Is there a level of tardness that you reach that accomplishes this?

He's not getting canceled. He's not exactly Notch, but he has fuck you money. Fuck you is what he should have told these people instead of being polite, but he's a better person than that.
Considering that Scott recently announced his retirement amid the doxxing and threats, this comment did not age so well. I hope Scott is doing okay.

And once again, a tale as old as time; someone gets fucked over online only to join in on another fucking. Deleting tweets when it suddenly suits the narrative. It’s all so tiresome.

It would be a lot more depressing if A. I didn’t already expect this from animators active in the modern day and B. If I ever let a creator influence how I enjoy a show. I just hope nothing else comes back to bite Viv in the ass, if only for the shows’ sake.

The entertainment is the definition of a dog eat dog world. Social media being the absolute zoo that it is only makes it worst. As Steel Plated Heart said, if content creators learned to stop using social media or least not use this way, everyone would be happier.

Idgaf about this show because it's yet another american "adult" cartoon (re: uncontrolled swearing and horny on a level 13 year olds will love) and it only seems to be popular because coomers latched onto it to bolster their porn portfolios. Not surprised at all to see the people behind it are also politisperging on twitter.

Dude, I understand that it's a dog eat dog world, but you don't cannibalize the pack you make. You alienate people like that. It's just the more I see it, the more I understand people like Alan Moore and Frank Miller who seem to just be bitter because they had to be around these kinda fucks for so long.
