Do you believe that this series will turn to shit?

i like helluva more than hazbin. makes sense it's an "on the side" thing because it's less convoluted than hazbin which makes it the superior work imo, as my hope for hazbin was that it'd refine and declutter. here's a few thoughts i have:

so sometimes the humor doesn't land for me as it usually just amounts to "CARTOON SAY BAD WORD! THEY DO THE SEX???"

i like that it's "progressive" without the same safe shit current shows pull. gay characters and relationships are just as rotten and toxic as straight ones. that's how i want non straight characters to be written more often, tbh. no better nor worse than their straight counterparts. if one's a shithead then all of them can be.

i will take obnoxious early 2000s deviantart scene oc characters over the bland and purposely ugly bean mouths that modern cartoonists jerk themselves off for creating these days.

i am not mad about how shitty a lot of the characters are, because the series doesn't force us to excuse it. there's equal callousness on all sides and it appeals to my humor. but they arent so shitty theyre unlikable. owl demon guy is a good example, he's a degenerate annoying (bt hilarious) shit but he also had genuiny wholesome moments that show there's more to him than being a sex pest. i would rather the characters all be like that, be irredeemable shits but have some depth that isn't forced. i don't care about redemption, isnt that hazbins theme anyway?

speaking of wholesome i love the little married imps. please vizie, for the love of god, don't make them do some gay poly shit. just let them be loyal to each other. it's genuinely so cute.

i'm interested to see where this all goes.

as for vizie herself, her politisperging amuses me. she will never be liked by the masses she shares those beliefs with. doesn't mean she needs to grift or anything, but it must suck to be an outcast among your people.

i follow some art and fandom communities on tumblr and the HH/HB fandoms are outcasts themselves. it's interesting that there are still groups on tumblr that can be both sjw and edgy.

This is the actual Stolas of Ars Goetia fame.

He is fat and I would not have sex with him.

Vivzie's is better.
oh come on that's just feather plumage, it always makes birbs look chunky.

but all jokes aside, speaking of Stolas was listening to the extended version of "you'll be ok" and i gotta say i love the possible biblical references. One lyric mentions how when Octavia was born the light went out, possibility referring to how when Christ died all of Jerusalem was plunged into darkness that only broke after the ressurection.

Then there's mention of the horn and the seven hells collapsing. The book of revelation details the lifting of the "seven seals." followed by the trumpeting of gabriel's horn to bring about the apocalypse (in order to destroy the kingdom of the beast and his followers) which culminates in the end of the planet earth and the cosmos to make way for the final judgment of the living and the dead.

Vivzie seems to have combined the biblical idea of creations end with the scientific heat death of the universe said to inevitably happen several billion years from now.

It's incredible to me that this show has such a massive fandom and so much drama with just a pilot episode and that that fandom is on kiwifarms.
I mean, it's half Hazbin Hotel/ Helluvaboss and half Vivzie and her crew, all of whom admittedly have a decent amount of drama surrounding them.

Also, Vivzie has been a presence on the internet for over a decade, it's just HH & HB being the things that finally propelled her into big time star-dom. She's done animations, comic's, and much more, you could argue her history on the web goes back nearly as far as Chris-chan's, only difference is Vivzie was able to avoid being a total spurge for most of her Internet history.

However, it is the current year, and it seems like fame and controversy go hand-and-hand now more then ever and whether there is good cause for it or not.

But I digress, I suppose you could say this thread isn't just about HH & HB, but the documentation and discussion of a girl who had a talent of art, some creative idea's, and worked hard to actually make her dream of creating a successful cartoon on the internet a reality (say what you will about them, but most Cartoon programs on TV would kill to have a show bring in the numbers like HB does) and is now teetering on the edge of screwing that up by being dumb on Twitter.

What I personally don't like the most about that sexuality thing within the show is how they make characters parts of LGBT, when it seems absolutely unnecessary, "best" examples being Husk, Pentious and (maybe) Vox.
I actually saw a few days ago that there was a video that talked about, the "groundbreaking" relationships, and displayed Blitzo and Stolas in the thumbnail. The fact that this relationship was prostitution in Hell was apparently lost on them.

You know it's actually pretty funny when you think about it. They decided to put all this "representation" in the show, but there is something I'm not sure they noticed.

The representation is of what are supposed to be demons in Hell.

In their rush to put more non-heterosexuals in media, they seem to have forgotten the context of their show, and may well have made heterosexuals a minority in Hell. That is pretty amusing in my opinion. This could have been a troll if someone else were doing it. All things considered, I think this might be the one set of shows where it would be fine to have as much forced diversity as they want.

Some might argue that the characters aren't evil, but some of the better behaved characters in Hell got into a fistfight on the news or work as a hitman. So remember this the next time a character in these shows is revealed to be homosexual, or spouts some asinine opinion, these characters are in Hell.

This is actually one of the few things I disagree with. As banal and stupid as it is, it's strangely fresh in comparison to most of the ironic, self deprecating, or plain unfunny memey trash that plagues YouTube. Do some jokes suck? Yeah, maybe; so far I haven't had any issues but I can see it getting stale quickly. Maybe I don't understand American comedy, but its preferable to hear sex jokes to pasty ass nerds who try to be weird to be funny.

It looked like borderline rape by extortion at the beginning, but the most recent episode made it obvious it's more than that. Blitz0 could have outright killed Stolas if he wanted to, but sided against Striker, even though Striker quite accurately pointed out he could kill the overlords of Hell if he wanted to.

The fan shit (outside of the almost "professional fans" like Tombstone) has been pretty low quality so far.

There's no way there isn't a giant shitstorm about this. I'm hoping after it airs on an actual network, and is about something Angel Dust says.

I mean, that's running on the assumption that Hell still equals bad in this series.

There was some speculations a few pages back about the possibility of Hell ending up being the place for "cool rebels" and Heaven turning out to be a super strict, boring, 1980's bible thumpers wet dream, possible even turning out to be "the bad guys".

Someone mentioned hearing that Vivzie said though she took inspirations from the Judeo-Christianity's Heaven and Hell, the Heaven and Hell in HH and HB were going to be their own thing. You could say it 's less them forgetting the context of their own show and more them getting too wrapped up in it. It's likely that Hell being so populated by LGBTQAZXY's isn't seen as a bad thing by Vivzie, because she knows how her series are going to unravel and that being in her version of Hell might turn out to not be a bad thing in and of itself.

Personally I hope this doesn't end up being the case and things end up being far more complicated then God just being a strict stick in the mud, but I have no influence over the show, so what I want doesn't matter to much. Hopefully Vivzie and her team knows what they're doing and the dumb stuff she's tweeted ends up being a case of Twitter bring out the stupid even in the most sensible of people.

wow i forgot this shit existed. Watched it in November 2019 and never even thought about it until now. Time sure does fly by. Any new events on this dumb show over the past one-and-a-half years?
I'll give you the gist of it.

Hazbin Hotel has been formally picked up by A24 (the production company) and is getting a complete season/series. No dates have been given, but since the announcement was in August last year, I predict that there will be a trailer for the full series later this year or at the beginning of 2022.

Helluva Boss is doing very well as an independently-created spin-off from Hazbin Hotel (tens of millions of views for each episode on average). Presently, we're at five full episodes with each installment coming in every two or three months.

Aside from online arguments and the occasional Twitter slapfight, no large-scale drama has transpired since the announcement. I'm still excited to see when and how both shows will turn out, but I'll keep my optimism steady.

One of them having Norman Reedus in it, apparently as a recurring character. Revise your opinions of Vivzie's networking abilities accordingly. Seriously, Norman Reedus? Also he's playing a really awesome character.

I don't even care, I like Vivz for whatever reason, even if she probably hates people like me.
Of course you do. You're her arsemuncher #1 here.

I actually probably agree with her politics more than the politics of most people here to tell the truth.
Fucking hilarious seeing this coming from a bloke, whom I usually see constantly shitting on lefties, troons and co, while also yelling crap like "SUCK MY DICK NIGGER!".

Generally speaking, it's amazing how a couple of whacky cartoons can be enough for someone to whore out themselves.

A new episode of Helluva Boss is coming soon.

"Yeah that's not gonna work lady, fire can't really hurt is. I could fake it if that'll get your dick hard. "

Good thing he was on fire cause blitz let out a serious burn.

I think were not getting the big picture here. If A24 actually releases Hazbin Hotel, what will the story of the show be like? Will it be a monster of the week type show where Charlie helps various demons help get over their sins, like drinking or gambling or anger in each episode? Or one that has "lore" and a really convoluted story to follow through. Because to me, this show sounds an awful lot like Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, but set in hell.
