As you might have noticed with other self described marxist youtubers like contrapoints, there seems to be droves of people willing to throw money at them for very little content actually produced.
It's likely because the journos won't stop writing articles about how they're fighting the internet equivalent of Thermopylae against the nazi hordes. In Harry's case they've never stopped referring to his twitch stream where he defeated transphobia and donated all his money towards child mutilation

I will never understand how or why liberals who believe in the concept of an "authentic self" separate from material conditions and even the body, will call themselves Marxists. If Marx or Engels were around today, they'd #cancel them. They'd call them evil terf sympathisers and biological essentialists for saying that gender roles are imposed on the sexes to control women's reproduction, and swerfs for saying that prostitution is worthless labour and the workers are forced into it.

It's gotten delayed at least once due to Monty Oum's death. As for why it's taken so long, RWBY's production is a perpetual rollarcoaster of new things coming out showing how that series only got big due to blind luck, and we don't really know what form the video is even gonna take.

It repeats a mistake I've seen elsewhere - this thread was not created in response to the livestream. It was started almost two years earlier and had grown to that size on its own without the livestream.
I tried to find more info about the book, but it looks like an e-published rag some gender studies major extrapolated from their thesis project. The only blurb I could find was in the Google search results which nonetheless told me everything I needed to know:

Also Graham Linehan didn't start it, he's not even on Mumsnet as far as I'm aware. A lot of these "feminists" think women (especially mothers) can't do anything by themselves and have to be rallied by a man

Harry has been a joke for years, the livestream was just the cherry on the cake. These people can't seriously believe his Mermaids support is the only thing about him worthy of criticism, even though it's arguably the worst thing he's done. After his first videos making fun of Davis Aurini his content steadily declined in quality, to the point where what he says and does is more about him being a mascot for BreadTube in his shilling for what is popular and deriding what isn't, than it is him sharing his own opinions. We all know what Harry is like when he's not posturing on Twitter. He's unapologetically smug, dismissive and an apologist for sexual harassment. Like most "male feminists" he also loves being able to rag on a group of women (usually "terfs" but these guys hate middle-aged "Karens" too) and be called woke for it.
He's also sucked a lot of people in with his media-related videos. They found them, and from that began to watch his political videos. In fact, many people have copied him with those super long analysis videos, the "X Is X And Here's Why" format. You can see the similarities in those to his general video style, in which he will zero in on a particular detail, m.ilk it for all it's worth, interlace it with a lot of surface-level criticisms and subjective arguments presented as facts. A lot of people are also under the impression that ContraPoints is the Mayor of Breadtown, but I would say Harry was more of an important figure in that circle, to begin with. Contra only made his channel in 2016. Harry inspired a lot of known names in the LeftTube circles making videos now, and some blatantly copied him like Shaun who practically admitted it (they had a little coffee date one time near where I live lol) with the approach of the rational leftist (a novelty in a landscape of Amazing Atheists and Thunderf00ts).
I understand we all have our own personal angles, but lying about the Mermaids thing like that is just r.etarded. It's so verifiably false. Spin the facts however you like but don't bother trying to change the facts themselves, it's a dumb move.

If i remember correctly one of his patreon milestones was making a defense of the star wars prequels that would end his career
He commented how close he was to that goal and other breadtubers started to share that story so more people would donate and force him to do it.

If he does make that video, I don’t think it’s going to be quite as edgy and contrarian as he thinks it is. Five years ago maybe, but not now. With the Sequel Trilogy failing to be the franchise redemption arc most old school fans had hoped for and the fact the online fanbase now contains a lot of Zoomers who grew up with the Prequels and like them for entirely sentimental reasons, defence of the Prequels really isn’t as controversial as it used to be. He won’t even be the first BreadTuber to do it - Quinton did a Prequels defence video at the beginning of the year.
That said, I am interested to hear his take, so I will probably watch the video when it drops, although I suspect the arguments will be similar to those he made in defence of Batman v Superman, i.e.; I like this thing because of what it represents rather than what it actually is:

He liked the Star Wars prequels. I listened to him on a podcast (with contrapoints) a few years back, where he was talking about how the Jedi were essentially guilty of an attempted coup, he seemed to buy into all of Lucas's world building. In fairness he sounded genuine and not just saying it to be contrarian. His thinking was a bit more developed than the typical Quinton review.
