iirc if you take the 5.1 mix of Heavy Metal and drop the center channel (or some other weird jerryrig shit) it turns into a mostly off-vocal version of the movie, so it's mostly just soundtrack and sound effects
 
Goregrind is generally a good fall back for fast heavy. Just google every band that played OEF / MDF from like 2005 to 2010 for the tupa madness / blasty/ detuned shit (as opposed to equally valid but not as frantic Carcass worship). Avoid mincegore poser shit like Haggus, bands in the late 90's/early 00's already did it better and took showers sometimes.

This just dropped the other week and it's pretty shit hot.

 
I love Andrew Hulshult’s work. Especially his work on Dusk. Extremely looking forward to his new stuff on the Prodeus soundtrack.
