So, a friend of mine and I got into a pretty interesting discussion yesterday. He's 5'9 and seems to have a short guy complex going, he's always bitching bout it. I thought 5'9"-5'10" was around average height here in the US? My dad, my brother and my grandfather are all 5'9 (or thereabouts) and even though I am a grand number of inches taller than they are, I've never considered them short men.

My buddy seems to think that girls aren't interested in guys under 6 feet tall, and that guys aren't interested in girls over 6 feet. (I can only speak for myself, but I'm pretty sure both of those statements are bullshit.)

"Researching" this topic on the internet only gives the ubiquitously useless "yahoo answers" crap, or posts full of people trolling short guys until the whole thread devolves into complete chaos. Which i'll admit, is kinda hilarious. (but that's not a suggestion.)

So I wanted to have a thread about height. What is your height? How do you feel about it? How has it affected your life? How do you feel about height in the opposite sex (or same sex if you're one of da' homos?) Who is the shortest person on the CWCkiforums? Who's the tallest?

PS: "Who fucking cares, and why is this a thread?" is a completely acceptable answer.

I searched for this topic and didn't find anything. So if I get Catparty'd to death, tell my dogs I said "GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE GARBAGE CAN RIGHT NOW!!!"

I'm 5'4". I wish I was taller, or shorter. I don't really let it bother me though.
I was a huge fan of tall men forever and ever, and I'm talking over 6'2 I was in love with a total asshole just cause he was 6'5". But then I met my husband who is 5'11"-6'0" (he's right on the line so we're not sure exactly how tall he is), and it doesn't matter even a little bit. 18 year old me would have been like, hit the bricks a-hole, but I've learned that height is the least of the things you should look for in a person.

5'8, I don't care if guys are about the same height as me because that's kind of unavoidable. Couldn't date somebody really short though.

I'm 5'7ish, all my girlfriends so far have been shorter than me, not because I care or they care. It's just how it turned out. /da end.

4'10 is pretty short. That seems like it could be good or bad depending on the situation. Do you have to ask strangers in the supermarket to get stuff for you? I get hit up for that sometimes, and I always think about how awkward that's gotta be.

That poses another question. I guess everyone has a different concept of "tall". Some people would call 5'11 tall. some people don't think it starts until 6'2"-6'4". I've never really thought about it until now, so I'm not sure I'd even know what my definition would be. I've been called tall before, but I don't consider myself "tall". I think I'm more or less the "grey man" in the height department.

I honestly don't care if they are shorter, but it's more that I'm primarily focusing if I like him enough to hang out with him on a regular basis...

I guess for my current relationship meeting on the internet is a factor, but even then...

6'3-ish. I'm a really, really long person.

Its a long way from my waist to my thighs, buying me a pair of pants is a pain in the ass. I'm not kidding on this but hey, do you want me to show you my bottom to prove that?

I'm 6' even and where I'm presently living, that's on the lower end of the spectrum for guys. Place is populated with Nords and highland Germans to the average height here is at minimum 6'2". So, I wouldn't mind being an extra inch or two taller but I'm pretty much done with growth spurts.

As for my companion preference, I can't say I really care that much when it comes to height. My ex was about 5'2" which was fine, but yeah, height doesn't matter in the long run.

I'm 6'1". Love short girls, but tall girls can be awesome, too. I've always found it dumb that a lot of tall girls won't wear any shoes with a heel because they think it will intimidate guys. Anyone who would be intimidated isn't worth your time anyway.
