Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

I always run 7s and it seems most of the time the players I get are smart enough to handle the shit it throws at you. Nobody runs particularly shit strategems and for bots it's developed its own meta of your choice of Quasar, EAT, Autocannon, or AMR, and then some combination of 500/airstrike, railcannon, laser, very rarely cluster bombs or precisions (often with stun grenades to hold hulks in place). I run the airburst now and then because while it's better for bugs it staggers heavy units and I hate Heavy Devastators with a passion.

You obviously get retards at every level but I think I had maybe one case of a Danger Close Retard(tm) who didn't understand just how long the cluster bombs were, and maybe it was my fault a bit for always getting a bit close to try and get better shots.

ETA: I should clarify the other guy was throwing clusters. I must have died to every single one because as soon as I was up there he was throwing one. Could be 4 bots he needs that firepower.

Danger Close with the 500k bomb and Airstrike are pretty easy (and can be gamed with a well time dive and amour) but Danger Close with the Cluster Bomb is a god damn art.

You can be stupidly close to the 500. The big glow is all for show and I think most people throw it without realizing just how small it really is. It's good for annihilating a packed enemy and one big target. The damage falloff is actually quite absurd so as long as you're maybe 25 meters from the actual beacon and prone you should live. Dunno if that's 100% safe you might get thrown I never tested it.

Yup definitely more effective against buildings than troops but it kills the Eye of Sauron and messes up slow heavies which makes it pretty worthwhile for Bots, even if standard airstrike is more versatile.

Having dropships drop Factory Striders on level 7's is new and different. They're not so scary if your randos know what they're doing. First time I ran into one a couple weeks back I didn't get a good feel for their capabilities because Joel ramped up the spawn rate of everything else for the end of a major order and my life expectancy after being reinforced back in was about five seconds until the situation was stabilized. I hardly saw the thing in action before everything was dead. Now with them being a normal enemy I just run around putting cover between myself and its' chin gun while tossing railcannon strikes and knocking out its cannon turret with my quasar.

I went and checked the major order because i was just curious on how fast people were crushing the bugs since they put like a 5-6 day time limit on it with such a large number and seen its already over 50% done since this morning lol.
Thats kinda funny to me

The direct impact also does a fuckload of damage, and will cause the bomb to get stuck in moving enemies if they don't instantly die to it. Always satisfying to see it jam into a bile titan and explode inside his skull.

I really wanna see a bug defense mission like the bot one but instead just crank up the small bugs so both the engine and people pc/Playstation start breaking.

Like so many bugs that not even the cluster bombs make a dent. Level 7 and above requires sync cluster bombs with turret placements running constantly.

There had to be a calculation issue on the major order, they put it for 6 days, it was done not even in a whole day for 2 billion kills.

Should've been six billion bugs and then they could have a congratulatory ad play on the TV "Helldivers did their part in ensuring our ability to spread to new horizons with the Element 710 recovered from several billion corpses of vicious child eating Terminids who are now having their element extracted in specialized ovens. Remember the six billion!"

can anyone else no longer throw or aquire snowballs? i know they said they were having problems with it crashing the game but i didnt see them say they removed it, but i cant seem to pick any up anymore.

High command is smoking some strong shit... or they just want us die. Personal order might as well have been "play tag on the freeway" or "put the barrel of the slugger in your mouth while your squad mate stands directly behind you..."
The mortar is actually very useful, so long as you don't stand next to enemies, period, while one is up. As in, make distance no matter what. If you use the mortar against bugs, it should be stacked with the EMS mortar to immobilize them and keep them from closing the distance. If two players drop two mortars and two EMS mortars, they basically can't even leave the breaches. They just get stuck in place with stasis and then pummeled with the explosive shells. Against bots, the stasis is also handy, but not strictly necessary, because you can generally outrun them and maintain spacing on foot.

I think I still prefer the railgun to the amr. It’s probably got a lot to do with the rifle’s ads still being a bit derpy.

It's so weird that the Dominator has infinitely better handling characteristics than the Eruptor and Diligence CS, even though both of those are stripped down rifles, and the Dominator is thicker than both of them put side to side. Seriously, I feel like the Eruptor being bolt action is punishment enough, it really doesn't need half a second of aiming input lag.

A random ass player called Gantzthedemon killed his entire team moments before the shuttle left. Someone uploaded a clip of this on TikTok, which caused a bunch of terminally online speds to mass report his account and threaten to dox him.

According to the Polygon article, he wasn't even him being an asshole to his teammates.
The team kill, or TK for short, was payback for a friend being attacked by two random players in a team of four. Gantz then avenged them, which is the clip we’ve all seen.
Journalists are literally incapable of making a good argument without completely running it into the ground. Naturally the article in question has to take advantage of this incident and tie it to relatively innocent online posts.

Players have found other ways to combat the hate. The “Super Earth says Trans Rights” Discord server, a queer-led group with 70 current members, is one of several subcommunities that sprawled outward from the official Helldivers 2 server.
Keep in mind this article says nothing about "bigots" being involved with the mass flagging or faildoxxes of Gantz. Actually the fact that it happened on Reddit suggests the opposite. Yet somehow the tranny server is relevant? The mind of a political grifter is at work here.
Developer Arrowhead did not respond to Polygon’s request for comment about any of these issues in time for publication
Nor should they.
“The problem is that Arrowhead’s official spaces [...] have made the deliberate decision to silence LGBTQ+ voices under the guise of banning any ‘political’ discussion, as if people’s identities are political, and as if this game was not created and marketed as a heavy-handed piece of political satire.”
So the real problem at work here is that Arrowhead treats politispergs from both sides equally by telling them to shut the fuck up. "But you just can't do that to me... I HAVE A TRANS FLAG IN MY PROFILE. I DEMAND SPECIAL TREATMENT!" I applaud Arrowhead for banning these spergs instead of bending the knee to them.

1. The desolation of "Wendy"
A user called "Wendy" Wilson joined the Helldivers 2 to demand the addition of pride capes. He was immediately told to fuck off. After changing his profile picture to a trans flag in protest, he was called a tranny. The mods would not come to this troon's aid. :story:
After posting a long message in the official Helldivers 2 Discord detailing the events and asking for proper moderation, she was timed out for 24 hours, her message was deleted
This is not surprising at all considering the excerpt of the tranny's essay that Polygon decided to share, “Disallowing discussion only causes lgbt members of the community to hide, while the bigots get to remain,” This big fat L only made the trolling worse for this poor retard.

2. Straight up lies
This past weekend, user mechanizedContortion was team killed and kicked from a public lobby after somebody in the squad saw the trans flag in her Steam profile picture.
This is a fucking lie. In order for his teammates to see this retard's avatar, they would have to open Steam and look up his username.
“When I joined I saw him go AFK for a bit, and when he came back he had typed in the chat along the lines of ‘get out of my game freak’ and then killed me,” she said. “He told me after I asked [why he said that] and he said he looked at my Steam profile and that he doesn’t like ‘your kind of people’. He kicked me after that. It was fucking surreal.”
There's no way this dude decided to stand still in the middle of the match just to look up a random player's username. This literally sounds like a re-enactment that you'd see in an anti-bullying film. You know, the films written by out of touch adults who don't understand the internet.

3. The part that made my sides explode
“The thing about this game is that on the surface, it looks like a game for chuds,” user Rayni said over Discord. “Media illiterate boogaloo boys will take the advertising at face value not realizing they’re the ones being parodied, like people who unironically think Homelander is the hero of The Boys.”
:story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story: :story:
“I care so much for Helldivers 2, and the community I’ve found,” they said, “and I’d hate to see this game become known for its toxicity not being addressed.”
How is toxicity real? Nigga just turn off your screen. :stress:

Well, Let's see the Helldiver community could defeat Joel's evil major order or not

Why are they just spamming generic orders now?
