Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

I admit I considered getting this game. But I kept deciding against it and now finally since it was on sale I decided to get Earth Defense Force 5 instead and am loving it so far.
I really wanted to like Helldivers 2, but ultimately all of the controversies I keep hearing about the game made me put it off and this Sony account thing is the final nail in the coffin it seems.

But the main reason that prevented me from actually buying the game was that to my knowledge this is one of those "Always online" games as in without the servers, there is no game. So if the servers ever went down... eat shit I guess? It's why I tend to avoid online only games when possible.
Plus the game is definitely moreso designed for co-op play and I hate having to play with other niggers. At least I can play EDF solo without worrying about some retard teamkilling me just because of my armor choice or something.

Maybe if they ever introduce a true offline mode I'll consider this game again in the future. But for now I doubt they'll do it.

I play Helldivers 2 on a PS5 so I am a slimy console faggot who has a mandatory PSN account anyway.

Sony are as of yet,(after 16 years of having a PSN account) to send anyone to set fire to my cat, or rape my house.

They're now review bombing HELLDIVERS 1 over what is going on in helldivers 2.

I honestly hope steam steps in to contain that.
That's just not fucking fair.
The game is not relevant to what is going on with helldivers2

Weird how they're not reviewbombing first party Sony games or something to get the message across. Why not reviewbomb God of War, TLOU, Uncharted, or Horizon?

As with EVERYTHING that involves reddit, it gets astroturfed and Sony probably is ok with the hate, as long it's not their main projects getting fucked with. In their eyes, the rest can go to hell, but the single player propaganda projects can not be touched.

I'm pretty sure they knew that reviewbombing first party Sony games was on their "ohh shit" protocol, and try to mitigate it to just the helldiver studio.
 
Sony's lucky that Valve actually cares enough to look into possible unforeseen consequences for dumbass decisions cause I've heard they've been pretty steadily giving refunds back for Baltic countries. If there were no refunds, the EU would be swinging for the fences.

It might be surprising to hear but that's actually not the case. If these corporations could have it their way, we'd not see a penny for any situation like this.

We got refunds on steam back in 2015 IIRC.
Back in the day, the userbase were requesting refunds as a feature for years. They were consistently ignored.
Austria, I think some of the EU, and Australia started legally ass raping Valve for this behavior. Refunds became a feature.

What niceties we have exist because of legally powerful organizations giving a shit about consumer rights.
Not because a corporation felt like being consumer friendly.
 
What's funny is that, if you believe at least one book whose name escapes me, it's actually Nintendo's fault that returns aren't as generous as they could be.

This is purely from memory, but originally guys like Target's CEO had no problem taking returned NESes when the SNES came around, until Nintendo threatened to withhold stock of the SNES.

Though this also doesn't surprise me. Nintendo is extremely anti-consumer.
 
I think the real reason Sony is trying to push this shit is so that they can eventually try to charge PSN fees to PC gamers to access PSN related stuff in the games that require it.

I don't think it'll happen, honestly. Not even Microsoft could make it work it. The salt generated from them trying it would be beautiful though.
