Grummz is like a pink triangle faggot but in the gaming community at large. Everyone keeps him at an arm's length and looks on him with derision but maybe one in ten things he says is funny or helpful.
 
Day 1 Eruptor was the best. I'm not sure when they stealth patched it but I noticed a considerable fall off with it.
A frustrating thing about it and this dev team / pr team though is the at time blatant lies.
Really? Eruptor shrapnel wasn't a main contributing factor towards dealing with enemies? Shrapnel seemed to play a prevalent part in dealing damage for me—and I wasn't overthinking it. Just aim and shoot into the center of a patrol.
It is just to a point where a lot of what they say I just have trouble believing.

How are you all feeling about the upcoming warbond?
I am a little disappointed personally.
The only weapon grabbing my interest is that new pistol. But unless it outclasses the senator entirely, there might not much reason to bother. But if they do that, then we just encounter another Peacemaker vs. Redeemer situation. Where one weapon is just entirely outclassed and has not even the slightest reason to be used.
The armor looks a little neat but given the perk system in place it's just sporting things you likely already have.

Given how the game works, I'd only just prefer that we get to choose our perks and that our armor is cosmetic.

I think I am at a point where even if there is cool things around the corner, I would greatly prefer if they stopped working on warbonds for a month or two to just fine tune the balance and fix bugs. I mean damage over time only recently started working properly.

I'm curious about the rifle and plasma gun, because the rifle sounds like a third med pen rifle entering the ring which is a concern because I'm not sure what niche it could fill over the liberator penetrator and adjudicator without overshadowing the Counter Sniper like the adjudicator already does. The plasma sounds neat and energy weapons have been neat so far.

I too am curious about the pistol, and the incendiary impacts sound like a good idea now that DoT is fixed and impacts are already pretty good for bugs.

He came on my radar only after the SBI Detected thing back in March. I was following everything he said, but he lost me a bit when I played the demo to Stellar Blade and realized that the gameplay is derivative hack n' slash dogshit, the story is campy anime, the only appeal was eye candy. Which got nerfed anyways.

I give his words and opinions credit, but Stellar Blade was a bad hill to die on. I'm kinda glad Helldivers drama overshadowed it, if only for a weekend.

It's a pain in the ass to farm Super Credits, and they do that on purpose because Super Credits are the one microtransaction of the game. Originally you could start a trivial or easy mission, go around to points of interest, get 40 Super Credits within a minute of play time, then quit the game, go back in and recollect those same Super Credits, but they patched that method out last month. Now if you go back in to a map that you quit, it will remember what loot you already collected from points of interest and not add that loot to your total when you pick it up again.

Each warbond page has a Super Credit unlock at the cost of medals, so each warbond gives you 300 Super Credits back to put towards the next warbond (except the first, 10 page warbond, there's more Super Credits to unlock there). Warbonds are released a month apart (second Thursday of every month), so you do have time to farm Super Credits for them.

Best method I've found to farm is just doing trivial missions with a layout that's circular land, as few mountains and water as possible. Trivial maps are about a quarter the size of a normal map and you can clear them out in 10 minutes. Bodies of water and mountainous (undeployable) terrain will override places that points of interest can be and it will not condense the points of interest to the actual, clear, deployable land, so try to find as clear of a trivial map as possible.

I've heard that you can still do the old farming method if you unplug your internet rather than alt-f4ing the game, but I've not tried it.

I'm just worried that we're entering a league of legends style bait and switch cycle with the new warbonds - one good weapon that sells it, only to be nerfed to the ground two weeks later (along with the rest of whatever's left that people are using). I tried the abomination of the eruptor last night and quit after one map in disgust.

Primaries:

AR-61 Tenderizer
A real tentacle-tearer. This high calibre assault rifle has awesome stopping power but limited magazine size, so make each shot count. Unpatriotic “banter” shots are not advisable.

SMG-72 Pummeler
A slower rate of fire than your other SMGs but these concussive rounds will leave your enemies dazed, confused, and still very ugly. Good things come to Helldivers who wait.

PLAS-101 Purifier
Set the trap. Hold the trigger. Let them charge at you. Smile. They’re getting closer. Smile again. Closer. Smile. Closer. Smile. Closer… and release the trigger. S.P.L.A.T. Hold your nerve, and the trigger, for big damage.

Misc:

G-13 Incendiary Impact
Don’t waste time reading the instructions, lob it at the enemy and run. This thing detonates on impact and ignites the area in white phosphorus, so make sure you – and your allies – are not standing around having a chat.

P-113 Verdict
The guys in R&D love this one. Gas-operated, semi-automatic, and chambers the largest centrefire cartridge of any lunpistol of its kind. “Rapid Deliberation”, they call it. Quick-draw to look cool in front of your squad.

Motivational Shocks
Literally shocks Helldivers back into action after being hit and slowed by sneaky, unjust attacks like the revolting bug acid vomit. Won’t help you much with area effects like EMS strikes, though.

Armor:

CW-36 Winter Warrior
Blend into snowy environments with perfect camouflage. The enemy will never see you coming, until it’s far too late. Ah the sweet smell of stealth. Passive boost – Servo-assisted.

CW-22 Kodiak
Thoroughly pressure-tested by patriotic volunteers as part of the Test Subjects for Super Earth Citizen Advancement Programme. Their sacrifice shall not be forgotten. Passive boost – Fortified.

CW-4 Arctic Ranger
Features a nifty utility belt boasting handy pockets that can be filled with any number of things – pocket knives, mementoes, interesting rocks, Terminid tentacles, bits of bots, etc. Passive boost – Scout.

Kind of interested in the plasma weapon. I imagine it will be wonky like Punisher; sort of useful but so unlike a regular gun that you have to play it carefully. Light armor with servo-assist isn't bad either. Is that in the game already? Have I just missed it? I've been running the +grenades one.

Is the Tenderizer going to be taking the LibPen and the Dominator and splitting the difference? How many primaries can they introduce before they're either obsoleting or duplicating existing options?

Your mileage might vary. I live with person(s) that would have a problem with me unplugging the router every 5 minutes for an hour straight, and my PS5 doesn't have an airplane mode button like my laptop. Try it if you can and report back, I doubt the Arrowhead devs read Kiwifarms.
 
You guys need to farm? Like I just play the game and before I have enough medals for the contents of the pack I have enough creds for the next one and some change to spend on armors (I think I have like 3 or 4 sets including the expensive red one).

I finally capped out all the previous bonds just before the Sony meltdown and I'm sitting on 990 creds for the new bond.
 
So it sounds like only already nerfed warlords are safe. So what is the best value so far? Cutting Egde / Steel Veteran?

Steeled veterans seems to be holding up the best. Dominatr got smacked with nerfs, but then brought back up.
The Incendiary Breaker is probably about to become the new meta if the DOT bug was truly fixed.
The revolver was also just buffed and is now debatably the best secondary (I still like the redeemer machine pistol).

I took one look at Cutting Edge and skipped right over it, didn't appeal at all.

Democratic Detonation WAS amazing... I'm crying now.

Cutting Edge has Sickle (bot meta, even after nerf), Arc-12 (bug meta, particularly after buff), Stun Grenades (I hear they're great) and Localization Confusion (the unsung hero of higher difficulties).

Steeled Veterans is fine and all with the Breaker Incendiary and Flexible Reinforcement Budget, but Cutting Edge has some really good content.

Holy shit I completely forgot that! I think the Sickle is the only thing I bought out of that warbond. I should probably go get the Stun Grenades though.

I wonder if they adjusted the super credits drops. Been finding way more medals and req slips than sc in recent games (difficulty 5-7).
