I sure wish it was as good as the real world equivalent we've been sucessfully fielding for 28 years.
It does fit the setting that the most sophisticated launcher in the game also is a finicky bastard. That said, I would at least give it a secondary fire mode for it so it can work as a beam-rider missile. After the patch, re-designate the FAF-14 as FAF-14B.

I've seen a lot of rumors and chatter that they're going to be "unbalancing" the weapons to bring back the fun of using them. If they bring the quasar cannon back to it's previous state and undo the nerfs to other weapons like the railgun I'd definitely start playing again.

The new mech is super fun. It was available on one of the bot planets I played earlier.
It might get me to use a mech again. The rocket nerf on the original mech really ruined its versatility. I would almost rather have two Vulcan cannons that that shitty rocket pod. Luckily quad auto cannons work well.

I would rather they un-nerf the weapons and just make level 7 and the above harder. Let people have their easy time at lower levels but once you start hitting level 8 or so start really ramping that shit up.

Great to here, def gotta bust it out when I have a chance. Curious to see how to does with the bugs and the smaller swarm of mobs.

The funny thing is, the higher levels are already unbalanced as fuck (compare SM with Impossible/Helldive). Everything feeling like a bullet sponge plus the stupid amounts of drops/patrols composed of heavy armor enemies you get on Helldive just makes it annoying to play. Un-nerfing and re-balancing for higher amounts of lower-rank enemies would solve a lot of this I think.

The new mech is a lot of fun. Standing atop the boulder in the middle of the first opening in the tower defence missions, raining autocannon fire on all the bugs coming through the doors, pure kino. Has anyone got an idea how fast it can kill a titan from full health? I haven't had the opportunity to check yet.

Okay so I have been playing still. To the Arc apologist, I did unlock the Arc upgrade, I still don't think it is that good for all the reasons I stated. Too narrow a goldylocks zone, stun is not effective vs bigger stuff, too finicky

Now if you want an under appreciated support weapon that shreds, pick up the LAS-98 Laser Cannon. It fills all the same niches as the AMR, it deletes hulks when paired with stun grenades, it scrubs out devastator heads in an instant, it is probably the best weapon against gunships in game. Against bugs it struggles vs Chargers (like the AMR) but wipes the floor with Spewers (like the AMR) and fairs well vs the rest. The downside is the lack of utility (like the AMR).

Basically if you are bored with the AMR the LAS-98 is actually quite viable now and fun.

15-25 face shots. It can do it but it's not ideal solo.

However, the Emancipator is better when grouped up, so 2 to 3 of them can turn that into 5-6 shots from each suit, which is way better.

As it stands the Emancipator is a really good objective pusher. Not quite as good as the Patriot's offense was pre-nerf, but way more useful when it comes to dealing with mission objectives. Also absolutely godly on Blitz missions.

>the guy in charge of "balance" in helldivers is the same guy who killed hello neighbor

it all makes sense now

When the fuck is this clown getting fired? What the fuck Pilestedt?
Hopefully now that he's CCO he will do an audit of his retards and trim the fat.

I can see absolutely destroying chargers in one shot being a problem but there shouldn't be a problem with destroying their ass in one shot. A big heavy explosive shrapnel rifle ought to do that and then they bleed out, or you can try wasting more rounds to speed it up. Or fuck leave the Eruptor without shrapnel but make it like an Impact grenade and then let the exploding crossbow do the charger killing since that thing fuckin sucks.

I might be autistic and looserish enough to buy Helldivers 2.

Please tell me how many farmer are actively playing the game.
