Hello guys. New player here who took a short vacation from Darktide.
The pretty tacticool warbond is what hooked me to finally buy the game.
Always a + when you can show bare muscles in your game and that classic skull insignia that makes the helmet kickass.
I didn't like the yellow with most armors. It would've been cool if we can mix and match armors while being able to recolor the schemes.
(Drip and functionality is mandatory!)

But is it possible if some vets can fill me in on the current game climate and confirm some of my worries?
There's been a lot of doom and gloom in the community lately. With topics like decreasing player numbers, and the discord mod fiasco discussed here.
Weren't premium warbonds always 1000? I bought all warbonds without thinking since I have a few dollars to spend on currency., but there's concerns with the devs abandoning their freemium model.
(I'm not really worried because I tend to spend my money to save time. So it kind of bothered me that I cannot buy medals to speed up the battle pass.)
Why is the game pretty laggy even if my pc surpasses system requirements. Is it like this for everyone?
Did we really make Sony fuck off with the mandatory PSN? If so, why are non-psn countries still unable to play the game?
Why is he banned.png

I sincerely hope I didn't waste my money getting into it late. I'd atleast want to sink a 100 hours in before the game dies or something.

In other news. I haven't seen anyone mention that modders have developed a modding framework for this game.
And of course has become the catalyst for Coomer shit and some Cool shit.
Jesus fuck if "female" helldivers players aren't already retarded, all those coomers will finally be able to rot their minds mentally jerking off while playing the game.
I fucking hate "Female" helldivers players, consistently retarded in gameplay and nauseating voicelines.
The only hope I have is for some faggot to modify the PH-9 predator or other armors to be bare chest so I can be Rambo.

Though the likelihood of that is slim because coomer modders will first shit up the nexus with "Muscle Mommies" before Ralpha males can get their dreams of being roided up beefcakes or Gunt bodied Fatties.

I'm holding out for a modding homo out there to fulfill my dream of being Rambo.
But, here's being :optimistic: they make versions without the dangling schlong attached. Since it's one singular outfit and not one I can wear with the modded chest piece only with the pants intact.

@BallsDeepInAi Bro you need to slow it down. You don't need to buy/or grind out every single warbond. The extra warbonds just provide either new side grade weapons or in case of the latest one skins for various things. Nothing is required and the warbonds never go away. The free content is new mission types/stragems and in a few weeks or so a new faction to fight. Warbonds are always going to be 1000 Super Credits but again no Warbond is 100% "needed".

The CEO stepped down so he could spend all focusing on creating a balance patch to make the game fun again as the head of Creative Decisions. And for all intents and purposes it looks like he pulled it off. Instead of nerfing shit to fit the balance team "vision" he has buffed and improved weapons/stragems to give players more options while remove annoying shit as well.

That dude was banned cause one of the mods in the Discord posted his furry fanart in the fanart sub channel and every one that thumbed down/vomit emojii got banned by a powertripping fag. While the CEO/Creative Designer of Helldivers 2 is a good dude his balance team/CM are a bunch of flaming idiots. Pilestedt has the Sisyphus task of trying to keep it all together while every one else tries to ruin the game and with the latest patch has really pulled through.

>super samples available at 6
>all of the retards move up to 7 after getting a single taste of supers
>my comfy 7 games become cancer

Even when the devs do something really good, God finds a way to make me not want to play the game.

Any of you getting a lot of purple question marks after the patch? Just have a round that the support weapon i called down being a purple question mark i cannot pick up, and i thought "whatever" and grabbed a stalwart from poi. A bit later we got a bug breach so i called my autocannon sentry down and a big purple question mark popped out from the pod and does nothing lmao.
I have already cleaned the shaders and verified game files integrity after patch since the swedes always break something every patch.

The one I keep seeing among sqaudies is "I crash every time I use the social menu/menu in general" although I have thusfar been spared *knocks on wood*

Good patch balance wise though, Tenderizer in single fire is great against bots if you can nail the headers. I feel like Adjudicator is the better for bugs. Machine gun buff is pretty sweet I have to say, it needed the mag and the damage is icing. The Heavy MG is viable with the new armor but outclassed by the L-94 or whatever it is called Laserbeam and the AMR. Eruptor is back and it's lil brother crossbow gained utility if nothing else and will probably be better against bugs (hard to nail the headers you need vs bots). Strategem buffs are all welcome and the shinning star might be 110 Rocket Pods, they hit very consistently now and shred tanks, hulks, spawners... whatever you throw em at.

We did get gunship patrols on maps with no air factories and gunships on high level difficulty Eradication missions, so be advised.

It’s a placeholder texture. Only time I’ve seen it was during a lag spike that ended with a DC from the host. Right after they started appearing I noticed my gun was firing but my ammo wasn’t going down, then it crashed a few seconds later. Hasn’t happened since that one time.

So many patrols o.O

What are good strats for destroying gunships? Just realised I never even bothered fighting them before... I'd always be the one charging in to hellbomb the fabricator whilst teammates took care of them. I need to become more capable against them now that patrols exist.

If you can, hit them with an EAT or Recoilless to the engines. AC and Rocket turrets work as well.

Spear is the end-all to deal with Gunships. Once it's locked, they can't escape.

HMG (the weapon and the Emplacement) both can easily dispatch it via engine shots, as can the Laser Cannon. AC easily deals with them at mid-range.

Quasar Cannon, EAT, and Recoilless can deal with them with direct hits, and the Railgun can do it with engine shots on Unsafe.

Exosuits can also do it but have a little trouble with the rocket spam. Patriot can down it with rockets and Emancipator can easily shred it with AC fire.

AC Turret and Rocket Turret can dispatch them as well, as can really lucky Mortar Turret hits.

They almost never fly low enough for it to matter, but two Thermites to an engine will also do the job.

Laser Cannon. Aim at the engines. Bam, you're the dedicated gunship melter

So I took a gander at the steam forum to see if they were talking about the rogue tranny furfag community manager, and they indeed were.

I was frankly shocked at the quality of Nigger Cattle trying to take part in the discussion.
Most of these people cannot make a coherent point even if you had a gun to their heads, then they spout off "incel" and assume they won, it's just surprising to me such "people" can find the fucking On button on their computer.

these people just go on steam to argue and not play any games and it does not help that steam forum mods are faggets who enable them

The AMR can also take them out with a few engine shots.

In my experience, the Auto Cannon is pretty good at taking them out effectively. Couple shots to the engines and/or thrusters takes them out quite quickly. Would recommend the Anti-tank, AMR, Quasar Cannon, or Laser Cannon if you want to keep your backpack slot open.

I can't say anything about the knives yet, but the new booster is an S-tier one. That speed boost in unbelievable.
Knives feel so bizarre. Sometimes it feels like they do nothing, other times I one shot something that has no business getting one shot. So far I've been able to one shot devastators, and somehow made a chargers head explode with one. The charger I've not been able to replicate.

I do wish their aiming worked better, like they reliably go where the crosshair is. Always seems a fair bit off, at least in my experience.
