the nerfs weren’t all that frustrating
Pre patch helldivers was a game of being confronted with absurdly overwhelming odds constantly by tanky hard hitting enemies and somehow edging through it even though your weapons aren't all that great. Most encounters devolved into spamming diving over and over to miraculously avoid projectiles and bugs while edging in what damage you could with infinite ammo energy weapons and strategems. You would never get truly overwhelmed by ever increasing numbers because the game only starts new encounters once the previous ones are already over, so you were weirdly at your leisure in this fucking unending nightmare of attrition. I don't miss it but it was far from impossible. Post patch is easily far superior though.
edit: Aim was especially important given that anti tank options like the quasar would only one-shot hulks with a precise hit to the head. Not even a shot to the heatsink would kill them in one hit. Bile titans needed two headshots so often players had to cooperate. Then the game threw 10 hulks or 3 bile titans at you, plus dimunitive enemies throwing off your aim and forcing you to move. It's a miracle anything got done but like I said somehow it just worked.

Anyone else here an Autocannon Chad? I don't think it ever got nerfed and they only made it better with the flak rounds. I was playing last night and I hardly even used my primary weapon. Just rake a swarm with flak and everything is dead.

I was nervous they’d mess up the game with the patches but I’ve been very happy with what they’ve done. I play Super Helldive almost exclusively (unless farming for super credits) and complete the objective 8~9/10 times and extract 6~7/10. It’s the perfect balance between being proud of my success and not being frustrated with failing.

Autocannon my beloved. I bring it and the autocannon turret for maximum destruction. By the way, did it get new sounds? I've noticed since the update that it sounds really good when impacting far objects.

I just noticed that too when I was attacking a spore spewer.

autocannon turret
The autocannon turret would be my go to if it didn't waste its already sparse ammo pool by firing in three round bursts. The rocket turret is far more practical right now because not only does it have almost twice the ammo capacity, it rarely wastes rockets whereas the autocannon will fire three shots at one bug warrior or a bile titan all the same. Rocket turret usually lasts long enough to throw down a new one by the time it actually runs dry.

Now on the topic of turrets, what I think would be cool is a dedicated anti-tank missile turret that fires homing missiles at heavy enemies. Maybe it could benefit from the mortar turret targeting priority upgrade and be able to aquire locks on enemies it has no line of sight with if a helldiver marks the enemy.

Thermite grenades are really powerful now, just one of them can take out a hulk, tank, turret or even titan if you stick its head. They can destroy bot fabricators now too, it doesn't even need to be in the vent, just stick it to the side. Crazy damage potential for a grenade. Sneaking up on an unaware hulk and sticking it's back has become my new skill play, works a treat if you're stealthily approaching a point of interest with 1-3 hulks standing guard.

Edit: I missed all these God damn buffs. Autocannon has flak now? Flamethrower good again?

Should have come back sooner, having a ball now!

Man i wish there was equipmemt or a way to repair the exosuits or to refill their ammo. Really like piloting the mechs even if they are considered bad. Also new warbond shotgun its awesome to me

Did they say what that Space Station is gonna do? I see it has its own tab on the galactic map. They need to give us more reasons to spend currency. If you could call down a extra strat, vehicle or some kind of strat reset/reload for some requisition points it would be pretty nice.

I just wish there was an exo suit with two miniguns.

Been so happy about the flamethrower changes being reverted. Running it with the gas strike & grenades has made bugs actually enjoyable for me as I get to just run into my own fart cloud and cook everything around me

So with all the new buffs to various weapons which Warbond is worth it to get now?
Democratic Detonation, Freedoms Flames, and Steeled Veterans are my personal favorites.

Exploding Crossbow, P4 Senator, and Thermites for bots

Cookout (for the stagger), Grenade Pistol, and Thermites for bugs

The medium armor from the steeled veterans is great for bugs and bots levels 9/10. A little bit of extra protection while being able to throw further. Tossing in a 380 from a distance is great for clearing out massive groups.

Platoon/Clans (Allegedly)
Cool new Stratagems (not elaborated upon)
Voting (bugniggers will have it over a desert planet forever)

The Clan system is the most interesting one. The only new stratagems worth adding would be related to being able to call in more types of vehicles and friendly infantry. I would also like to see more variety in missions and side objectives, like having to guard a casualty collection point until all wounded are evacuated, or relieving a bunker gone to lockdown which would allow friendly forces to steadily stream out of it. Perhaps having some sort of a friendly gunship force also would be nice.

I cannot wait

I assume it's going to give certain strategems to people in the same system as it. Will probably let players be able to vote where to move it to at certain points.
