Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

I still think that Sony didn’t expect Helldivers 2 to be a success, despite it aligning with their GaaS strategy. Now, they’re treating it as if the franchise has always been a cornerstone IP for them.

I mean.....does Sony have anything else? Sony honestly just threw some bucks at Arrowhead studios thinking they would make a decent profit based upon past games but then then the whole thing explode in popularity that no one was prepared to handle. The Sony Playstation system couldn't even handle logging in that many players at once at launch! The devs had to turn it off just so every one could actually play the game. Hell the game is literally running on a discontinued and non-supported game engine from a company that has shut down.

The sad part is now that Arrowhead is on Sony radar the meddling will probably make all future Helldrivers projects worse.

I remember reading somewhere that Sony thought/ wanted Concord to be their "Star Wars" and use that as their main live service game that could branch out into other projects & media. In reality, Concord was a complete failure and Sony are now going to latch onto Helldivers to fill that void.

Of course not, and after the PSN account shenanigans, I do hope Sony doesn't ruin the game in the near future 🌈. It's impressive that the game is in working condition with a discontinued engine, I really thought that the game was running on Phyre or Unreal.

I also heard that, Hermen pitched it as the future of PlayStation alongside his waifu Alloy.

I hope we get a killzone game where we can finally play as the helghast outside of multiplayer. But given the absolute woke state of guerilla i doubt that is ever happening even with the recent collab. Even if a prequel halo reach style set during the first extrasolar war where they lost Vekta to the ISA would be appropriate.

Guess Helldivers 2 is good enough for now.

I'd buy the game if the Game had offline modes like the first to at least give me some ownership and not be a slave to servers, games are behind literal 90s and 2000s games. The issue with online-only is if the devs patch the game to a point where the experience people loved is altered. This happened to Halo 3/reach when 343 came in and their first job was raping everything Bungie left players with in reach. It would have been completely gone if it weren't for emulation efforts. You will never be able to experience older patches or access older content. Thats retarded and anti-gaming. If the devs weren't massive faggots and unfun balance freaks there may also be more consideration. Maybe Ross Scott can save gaming :optimistic:

Totally fair and based decision. Plus they already uber fucked the balancing once it can happen again. I've put a few hundred hours in the game so I'm still pretty happy, but totally get where you're coming from.

Oh wait sorry: "But if they didn't force online, how would you open the two person bunkers????" < Something actually said to me.

I’ve put in just above 475 hours since April and I’m still loving the game. I know that I will either lose interest or the devs will screw it up (likely with pressure from Sony). At this point I’m just enjoying the moment and in the future it will be a great memory.

Artificial Intelligence. Most new online only games like Battlefield I and V have no excuse because they used advanced bots that mimic players if they left games THAT THEY BRAGGED ABOUT!

Only to not use it and give us short mediocre campaigns instead of offline modes like old battlefield gave. Star Wars Battlefront reboots also suffered from this it had to be FANS who MODDED IN offline modes from the best online modes.

Question is whether it'll be "lmaooo this guy got his arm blown off and he's so non-chalant about it!", or an actually good movie in which deaths are common but also meaningful. If they make light of non-stop death, eh..

I still don't understand why I just can't connect to a lobby some days. I've already whitelisted everything related to it, but sometimes everything just times out.
I have this problem occasionally, sometimes I login, try to play with randoms, and no matter what I cannot connect to anyone's lobby and nobody can join mine. Even if I start a mission and throw an SoS beacon. I have all Privacy options off. Crossplay on ect. Other days I log in, start a mission and get 3 people in seconds, or hit join and instantly join. It seems to be a crap shoot.

The funniest part about this, is no matter how much money Sony throws at them, Helldivers CAN'T fill the void of a AAA flagship game unless they close it down and make Helldivers 3 on a new engine. Helldivers 2 is made on a completely dead and now unsupported game engine discontinued as of Nov 2018. (The Stingray Engine) You can tell how much the game suffers for it as a lot of the kinds of things they would want or need to do to expand the game are impossible due to engine limitations. I believe the Devs have already said Super Helldive 10 is the Max Difficulty they can make because its already the most enemies the engine can handle without crashing. There's also a lot of strange bugs and quirks that will never be solved so the game is basically in its final state right now. All they can hope to do is keep adding more of the same content more or less.

You can just modify your super credits or just spawn them in. No dupe.
How do you do those things? It's insane I can't search for things like this on any major search engine anymore.
EDIT
Nvm. I finally found the forum with the CE table. You still need a Game Guard bypass though.

Full bitching mode. As a filthy casual, I'm just not sure this game is for me.

I'm busy and a single match can take 20 to 30 minutes, which practically speaking, I can only play a few games a week at most. If I really try. Usually just 1-2 games. The meta changes so fast, and when I try searching what the latest meta is, I get a ton of out of date suggestions and smug niggers saying, "JuSt PlAy ThE GaMe." Cool, so if I just play the game with a shit load out, I get kicked from half the games I play, usually 10 to 15 minutes in. Some weeks, I can't complete any mission because I just keep getting kicked. Still, when i do find a decent meta, it's really fun. But, only 1 out of 3 times. The other 2? I'm running with like level 15's on helldive or superhelldive (if I can't find the meta, I run 6 to 8 difficulty). Sure there is a rare pro gamer level 15 on super helldive but mostly these fucks can't figure out how to do basic objectives and just die a shit ton of times while aggroing the entire map before leaving.

Not fun. So then these fucker trannies which seem to infest the fan base for this game, say you should really just play with friends. But my friends are busy with life too so we can only get a game in every few months.

I really enjoyed this game when it first came out. Back when a hulk or titan could wipe your entire team and everyone was just having fun trying to figure things out. Now, it feels a weird mix of too easy when you know the meta, too to annoying from all the sweats and retards I constantly bump into.

It sucks getting old.

Host your own lobbies, problem solved. You can do whatever the fuck you want and kick people you don't like, there's your solution.

Don't play 9s and 10s with randos. I don't know how to say this without being mean, but you need to accept becoming a fucking casual.
That's what I was trying to say. I used to play 4-6 when this game was difficult. But now it feels like there is no Goldielocks zone for me. It's either cakewalk easy and very boring or very annoying with randos. [Which i think explains why there are so many low levels trying to run 8-10 difficulty and why kick culture is so prominent in this game. Low level missions are just boring now.]

That's pretty fair. I don't do this because I can't commit to playing 3 games in a row (which could be about an hour and a half). I thought not doing all 3 missions hurts the war effort?
