Honestly I'd say just turn off crossplay in the settings to weed out consoleggers and then give queuing up with randoms a try. It's a lot of fun and people generally know how to work together pretty well. Dipshit teammates are only a real issue in like... 1 in 30 matches. Typically things balance out.

Even console players tend to be alright, for most part, aside from the mouthiest of mouth-breathing retards that somehow can't handle predator strains when they're a nanosecond away from the team.
 
so hows the games performance right now? I have a decent mid tier rig but I stopped playing like a month ago because no matter what settings I used, the game ran like absolute dog shit.

The last patch made things better for me on PC (in Linux via Proton). Not perfect but a noticeable improvement.
 
Interesting news fellas. We've reached the (inevitable) point where Gamegaurd has made the game literally unbootable.

A Microsoft Azure outage has made GG unable to update, which in turn makes HD2 unable to launch.

The meatball eaters better take this as a sign to drop the trash off at the dump it belongs at. The anticheat making the game completely break because microsoft had an outage is completely unacceptable, even AH has to realize that.
 
It's funny because their piece of shit anti cheat doesn't even work. My buddy recorded a match where he joined a random lobby, had Pelican immediately arrive to pick them up, was told the mission was failed, and then given 250 warbond medals.

I noticed that Xbox players are actually really good, on par with PC usually. Crossplay isn't nearly as bad (or funny, sadly) anymore because now when you invite consolefags over you get a ~50/50 chance of getting an Xbox player. This is entirely anecdotal but I remember in the last few days before they removed the Rupture Strain, PC and Xbox players were actually really rare to come across on the hiveworld. It was almost entirely Playstation players who were just happy to have flashing colors on their screen and weren't entirely sure if they were even playing Helldivers or some other shooter. Meanwhile on Automatons at the same time it was a pretty even spread of every platform. Not even a month in and XboxGODS already knew what was good for them.

Somehow one of my favorite people to hop onto the game with is a PS5 player I once met when quickjoining. When they're good, they're good.

You been having gameguard shit the bed since last Thursday? The Azure issue seems to be fixed and I can launch HD2 again, so if you still can't you have a different gameguard-based problem.
 
As nice as it is to have more divers thanks to Xbox, I turn crossplay off when not playing with friends who are Xbox. I've been burned too many times by retarded PlayStation players (read: niggers) with an open mic and I hear CHIRP.
 
Can confirm, Epoch is still complete shit. Full charge straight to a hulk's eye at point blank range. Facetanks it. The buzzsaw is mightier the experimental heavy plasma cannon. AMR rocks now though. It will now take out a hulk with a shot to the eye within 50m and it will now headshot overseers, and with the additional extra ammo you can magdump into fleshmobs pretty effectively.
 
I'm an XBOXDiver, and I have been absolutely LOVING this game. Fighting bugs on Difficulty 10 with a squad of your fellow retards is a real hoot.

I'm loving the Autocannon buff because I NEVER go up against Bugs on the higher difficulties without it.

Try the Blitzer and Warp Pack combo for bugs. Nothing personnel kid your way out of every jam while zapping to the extreme.
