well yeah they are fucking gay as fuck since sweden...
had to do it
Sweden devs are a bunch of arrogant niggers... AH needed a 3rd party to clean up their bloated file size and pretty much they were adamant about the necessity of the duplication because muh hdd's, until someone more humbled(?) and experienced smacked AH's noses into their own shit.

Same with fatshart rework upon rework because the niggers dont kown what to do and HOW to do... For a whole years right after launch their shit effective was in a beta phase...

I haven't gotten around to playing the new defend/evac type mission but it sounds like it's untested at high difficulties like others. If you can remember the evacuate assets mission on launch, when it came to bots you'd potentially have tanks land on the cliffs above the base (depending on the map type) and the factory striders spawned just as often and can waltz in and their top cannon will shoot the generators all the way from the beginning.

New arc in the war, new leaks coming out from the retired(-ish not really for now I guess) leaker IronS1ghts.
All of the leaks will be in the spoiler to avoid showing shit that people might want to be a surprise. The leaks pertain to the Automatons.
(IronS1ghts keeps posting more stuff, so I'll be adding more to the spoiler while I can still edit this post so I don't shit up the thread.)

The war seems to be leading to Cyberstan, the Automaton home world. Along with this a new subfaction will be added to the Automatons, the Cyborgs. The Cyborgs are essentially Proto-Automatons, they were the original enemy in the First Galactic War (Helldivers 1) and over the century after the war they evolved into the Automatons.
Some enemies from this subfaction have been shown off by IronS1ghts.

More enemies might be shown off on IronS1ght's Twitter page.

There's also a new vehicle coming, a proper tank called the TD-220 Bastion.

This was leaked days ago by IronS1ghts but I never bothered posting it here since there hasn't been much to really report on it, but he's finally shown off an actual in-game image of the tank.

Along with those I'm just gonna include the images he shared for Tier 6 Super Destroyer upgrades. The last time that these were shown off was in some trailer a long time ago for a split second, Arrowhead has not said anything else about this themselves.

With all those leaks, people are speculating that Arrowhead might drop the next title update during The Game Awards on the 11th like they did with the Omens of Tyranny update in TGA 2024. I don't think they'll do something like this personally, considering the recent Warbond and slim edition update but I wouldn't mind being wrong with this one.

I’ve been playing the new missions on D10 and I absolutely love them (caveat, you need a team that cooperates). It’s one of the most chaotic and exciting missions and it’s one where success isn’t guaranteed.

It feels like the way Helldivers is supposed to be.
AH have repeatedly stated that the one thing they try to avoid is making a mission type that can only be completed one specific way with specific stratagems or weapons, but that's exactly what the new evac mission is.

If you don't spam smoke and/or shields the entire round you WILL fail the platinum evac missions, the amount of sheer luck needed to complete it without making the enemies blind the entire time is immense. Shit, you can't even avoid these missions either because they're part of every operation lineup on these planets. You need to do them if you want to contribute.

There's simply too many enemies with too many elite units crammed into too small a space with zero breathing room for it to be completed reliably otherwise, and it's still like that all the way down on Diff 7 which makes me think it's simply untested and/or the spawnrates are bugged.

I've seen no less than 40 missile troops, 5 hulks and 3 war striders (plus who knows how many regular little guys) jammed into these tiny arena maps all at the same time before even 2 minutes had passed, all spawning directly on top of the objective container. There's a zero percent chance it doesn't get nerfed down to the difficulty level of the other new lava missions, because there's no way this is intentional.

The AH guys couldn't even get close to completing it themselves on their own livestream and they designed the fuckin thing.

I think it’s impossible to complete the new missions with the incendiary corp but I’ve had no problems with any of the new missions with the normal bots at D10. I’ve never been a huge fan of the incendiary corp though, they cause my PC to drop frames with all the fire animation.

Having played through almost all of the major complaints against AH this is just the way it is. An example: they fuck up the asset evac mission, people play and bitch about it, they figure out the problem (the wrong way, through loss of players), then they fix it and it becomes one of the most fun missions in the game.

There is a better way (having play testers who actually play the game) but I find it immensely rewarding to beat these missions that everyone complains about. If it gets too frustrating, I stop playing on the planets with the bad (tunnels) or completely broken (original evac assets) mission types. The major orders don’t do anything anyway so I just play what’s fun. When they fix the broken missions they usually become really fun and relaxed.

Everyone seems so wrapped up in the game needing to be perfect, I’m enjoying a game where the devs are still trying new things (even if they go about it the wrong way)

I give it a pass especially for the smoke because how shit everywhere else... Also there is a vid solo D10 plat mission powered trough without smoke or shield so if a 4 player stack struggling... idk skill issue?:smug:

Is one of the only people to barely complete the mission in time after several retries on a highly optimized loadout
See! It's perfectly balanced.
I want to clarify that D10 is typically a tad easy for my tastes. And I also don't find the short missions very interesting to begin with. Helldivers 2 just isn't capable of consistently being a highly difficult but fair game in its current state. When it stops being manageable, it often overcorrects and ends up being bullshit. Difficulty isn't about getting the percentage of players capable of beating the game down to a minimum, it's about testing a player's expertise of the game. God Hand is a very hard, but very fair game that communicates perfectly to the player how they fucked up when they do. Halo 2 on Legendary is exceedingly unfair and forces players to very slowly slog their way through an unending gauntlet of trail and error. The latter can be fun when one is in the right mood, but do not conflate it as good difficulty. You also need to accept to a certain degree that once you get good enough at video games most video games will feel easy barring when they start to become unfair bullshit.

If you can consistently clear D10 with little or no deaths, think to the times where you ended up with one of those missions. Where you just can't seem to catch a break and you died a lot more often than you usually do. Yes, you don't want a mission to be easy. But not dying and the mission being challenging aren't mutually exclusive. My best memories of playing this game is when you get those Unicorn missions where everything just lines up and you're consistently tested to the height of your abilities but you barely pull through time and time again because you can consistently assess and overcome without the game throwing something completely out of left field at you.

Good news! The next big story arc is (probably) Bot-focused.

New datamining into the slim version of the game has revealed the addition/return of various things, including (but not limited to);
-the HD1 Trident Laser-Shotgun
-A good ol' WW1 trench-sweeper shotgun, doughboy-themed helmet and Luger pistol
-a heavy flamethrower with a backpack
-A SEAF tank
-armors for a knight-themed warbond
-the HD1 Cyborg Siege Mech boss
-the old AND new Killzone armor+capes for the upcoming Legendary warbond
-new (presumably) bot-based story capes
-Cyberstan architecture/propaganda sculptures
-the Cyborgs themselves

Those communist fucks survived.

-a heavy flamethrower with a backpack
Given the trench shotgun I assume this will finally be a true-to-life flamethrower firing an arcing stream of napalm. It'll probably be one of the coolest weapons in the game if you can just paint DOT all over the ground.
Bonus points if it inflicts the special stratagem napalm fire damage that is way stronger than regular fire.
-the HD1 Trident Laser-Shotgun
An earlier leak showed a Trident that looked like 3 sickles taped together. I hope they go with this design because I'm tired of pretending the giant obtuse cowboy laser guns aren't ugly as sin. That goes for a Talon, too.

I dont saying that was the pineacle of the bell curve and therefore balanced... Im asking in a 4 man stack what te hell the rest of the team doing if theoretically 1 mule power stimming trough the missin enough to finish it ?

heavy flamethrower with a backpac
Cries in sterilizer...

Finally, Reinforcements.

I'll no longer be the coolest guy in the room, but that's a small price to pay for the reemergence of taste.

Edit: I actually have every bit of gear from the original run. Is there anything new?
They make it sound like there will be, but it may be like the Halo one, where outside the main gear, all you get is some skins for the jeep and mech.

Theres new Vehicle camos, I got everything from the first run too. Here's hoping they update the assault rifle to have its underslung shotgun at some point.

Monkey pawn curls... The trailer said at the end if someone purchased something getting it for free... Soooo everyone who just got the second page for free due to backlash need to buy the whole war bond again at full price :smug:
