It literally was just a last minute addition that they did on a whim because people ground the game to hell and back and went “MAKE IT HARDURR!!!” The game originally capped at D9
I don't believe it was a last-minute addition at all. The original game also had a difficulty that capped out lower but slowly added new difficulties all the way up to 12, didn't it?

The people who ruined this guys life are literally the opposite group lmao.

They're the "GIT GTUD SCRUB IT'S A GOOD THING THAT 40 VOX ENGINES SPAWN AT ONCE, SKILL ISSUE, DON'T STOP NERFING OUR GUNS DADDY ARROWHEAD" niggers that lash out at anyone who says the game is poorly balanced and full of bs deaths right now.
And why exactly would they do that? Wouldn't the people telling others to GIT GUD want AH to, you know, git gud? That just sounds like cope from people who want an excuse to shit on the players who are calling them bad. It's far more likely it was people who have come to hate the game and AH for whatever reason. We don't know who did it so it's speculation anyway.

This is wrong. The original game has 15 difficulty levels (initially 12) and AH has mentioned in the past that they wanted to add more difficulty levels into 2. They'll absolutely never be allowed to do that, however.

15.

HD1 had 15 difficulties, and AH have actually admitted this was a fuckup on their part because it stretched the playerbase way too thin.

We did it, Reddit!

And why exactly would they do that?
Because the "skill issue" crowd on the subreddit do nothing but dickride Arrowhead and sperg out at anyone who criticizes them or how the game is being run.

The challenge issuer was criticizing Arrowhead and asking for better balancing.

Wouldn't the people telling others to GIT GUD want AH to, you know, git gud?
No lmao. AH "gitting gud" involves them actually putting thought into the difficulty instead of just nerfing guns people like into the dirt and spamming 400 tanks at you, which the sweats on reddit think is good game design.

This just sounds like cope from you because you have more in common with the redditors than the guy who got doxed.

Why the fuck would the people who think the game is too hard and hate Arrowhead try to dox and harass... a guy who wants the game to be balanced better and is criticizing Arrowhead? That doesn't even make sense, they're on the same side.

Avoiding the reddit is the best possible action you can take, it's just not worth it.

Though unfortunately just playing the game still exposes you to the glitches and funky design choices so you'll have to suffer in silence for 5 months before they fix something that annoys you (if they ever do).

This is why anonymity is a human right. If you didn't have anonymity you could ruin your entire life making any post, no matter how innocuous, that insane, demented, faggot retard trannies on the Internet don't like.
While that would help, the real issue is business liability. Cancel culture works because businesses aren't punished for giving in. In fact, businesses have increased liability if they don't give in to cancel culture. At the very least, I wish people would wage war on any business that fires someone due to online cancel culture campaigns.

Your entire post is bizarre as fuck and this part in particular is just wildly stupid. The game is poorly balanced because it's TOO FUCKING EASY not the other way around. The reddit does not share that opinion.
Pointing fingers to blame the group you don't like is fucking stupid and, again, it's speculation on who's actually responsible in the first place. I could absolutely see someone who's been fed up with the game being "too hard" and biting into the straight up fucking lies that AH does nothing but nerf weapons seeing an opportunity like this and shitting all over the place to stir drama just as much as I could see some hyper autistic faggot freaking out because there's a small chance of the game being made even easier.

Honestly, I suspect you may just be a projecting moron and that indulging you is a waste of time. AH does not nerf player tools anymore and they haven't done so in a long time. ANY nerf to player tools is met with intense backlash, even if it's warranted.

I know I sound like a broken record here but it cannot be overstated how much of a solid package Helldivers 1 is.

It's not glitchy, it's not bloated, the entire arsenal is viable and fun to use, the enemies are balanced great, the progression isn't locked behind gay storybeats, and it has a great arcade-y feel to it.

Also the music is better.

I don't understand from a lore aspect why we'd have our own starships yet our rifles aren't firing rounds that'll pulverize their medium to toughest enemies. They want the players to have a Redshirt experience, but if that were the case we'd have no say over where we go or who we fight, we'd be fed into the meatgrinder without even the appearance of choice.

I just play with friends and never had any of the issues you guys have.
same, i only ever play with one or two other people, who don't even want to join me that much these days anyways.

randoms just join your D10, eat through 15 reinforcements and leave your lobby, i will say though in terms of multiplayer games ive had the least issues with, HD2 players (aside from bombing me with a 500kg from time to time) are okay, so its bearable to play alone.

the worst people ive dealt with in any mp game are wow players by far though

rdrama level of lunacy. i hope they die to colon cancer
They're homosexuals, so thankfully there's good chances of that.
Every time I think about getting into this game, there's always some stupid shit that happens shortly after that.
When it first came out I thought it looked great, major Starship Troopers vibes about killing bugs and robot hordes and shit and then celebrating as half the map constantly explodes with FREEDOM FIREWORKS, but no, any and all fun about being a badass uber-hero empowered by all the pure DEMOCRACY flowing through their veins was quickly taken out back and shot.

Glazers are mad at the recent challenge issued for the devs to beat a hive world with bad weapons for charity, calling it bullying. So naturally, their response is to dox the issuer and try to get him fired from his job.

I've noticed, and from not just the corporate 2nd gen gaming media, an unhinged level of dev worship and zealous ass-kissing from media talking heads, social media and mainstream fandom spaces over the last ~3-5 years. Especially corporate dev shit eating. It started with labor issue type nonsense but has quickly expanded to dogmatic hysteric defense of any dev or pub not on a black or wrongthink list. Everyone must sit back and swallow the shit with a smile or else.. Criticism is even treated as abuse. They get the same treatment reserved for loud feminut con artists back during and after GG etc. Even more deranged in some ways even.
