Just put the leftovers in the fridge, if you want cheap booze, do what I do.

Kilju
> Sterilise an old bottle
> fill it with hot tap water (not boiling)
> Pour in a packet of yeast (bread yeast will take 2 weeks, brewing yeast around 3-4 days)
> Pour in a lot of white sugar
> Put the cap back on and puncture a small hole in it with a pin, then stretch a balloon over the bottleneck and tightly wrap a rubber band around the bottleneck, then put a tiny hole in the balloon to use as a basic airlock (if you can't make a better one, or buy one.)
> Leave it to brew for how long the yeast takes to ferment the sugar into alcohol.

Cheap Finnish sugar wine. (This isn't illegal, at least where I live, unless you refine it into moonshine or try to sell it, but check your country/state's laws on homebrewing regardless.)

EDIT: when its done brewing, pour the kilju into a separate, sterilised bottle while filtering out the yeast. Drinking yeast will make you sick, and will make an already unpleasant-tasting drink taste like shit.

hey guys i made too much garlic bread and wanna turn the leftovers into Kvass. How do?????

I've never homebrewed, is this the kind of endeavour where you can get good results at your first attempt?

Lol no. I have never heard of anyone getting it right on first try. I used to know a guy who was doing his own mead and he described his first few attempts as wretched and undrinkable, despite seemingly doing things within acceptable parameters. It takes practice and a knack (and proper instruments to brew with and monitor things).

Does it actually taste good? Because this sounds like it's simple enough for me to actually do.

I consider it a matter of Appalachian heritage that I learn how to make my own alcohol.

Sake isn’t all that great. You should buy like a brewing kit and try to make a rice based beer and see what happens instead. I’ve never made a rice based beer, and I sure as fuck wouldn’t make one with Zatarians in it, but I like beer, I like Rice, and I like Zatarians so if it comes out good let me know.

Kilju by itself tastes like wine. Finns usually mix juiced berries or fruits into the liquid before it ferments to enhance the flavour. It's basically a poor man's Vodka Cruiser. Just make sure to filter out the yeast once it's done brewing or it will worsen the taste.
