wait for @Bruno Powroznik post who has more to share on Micheal and metadata.
On the 25th of november, one of the first posts made by
@dansbursttruth featured 5 audio files
Ignoring how weird it is to include a fucking dubstep remix in your "expose" audio we can gleam some info about these files and spoiler, one of these files is not like the others.
While listening to these i noticed that two of the files shared the same audio so i layered them in audacity.
(the third file in the list is on top, first on bottom)
As you can tell, the peaks are a same and if i play them they are perfectly in sync, except. Whats this bit of audio at the end of the second track?
Thats the discord "call disconnect" audio. But why is it there in that recording and not in the other one? These must be 2 separate records from different people right?
Well, i can prove that they are not.
You know, metadata tells us a LOT about a file, if i look up the upper track this is what i get.
Code:
File Type : MP3
File Type Extension : mp3
MIME Type : audio/mpeg
MPEG Audio Version : 1

The metadata states the file was encoded in FL Studio, now if you don't know. FL Studio is a music production software used by musicians. now i wonder who would use such a tool.
So the first file is encoded in FL studio, thats pretty specific. If the other recording is from a different source then i doubt that it would be encoded in FL studio, right?
Code:

WRONG. Exact same encoder. So these files are from the same source. So why the discrepancy? Well, adding the discord disconnect audio in FL studio would be trivial but why would you do such a thing?
Remember when i told you that one of these files is not like the others? The first 4 are all encoded in FL studio but the fifth one is not.

Now anyone who has fucked around with yt-dlp knows that on youtube the audio and videos files that are served to the user are separate and played together (or merged into a single file in the case of yt-dlp). These files are called "dash" files. The existence of the "dash" in major brand indicates that this file originates from youtube. But we know where this audio comes from it comes from the video in this post.
Now what do we see if we look up the exif data on this file?

Will only appear if this video was encoded on youtube's servers. So this is a youtube video.
and guess what, we know the source.
Same length, thumbnail shows same video. This is it.
but what channel is this video from?

MICHEAL'S CHANNEL
This video was downloaded from his channel 100% If it wasn't it would not have youtube metadata included. This and the fact that the other files are encoded with FLstudio and the audio discrepancy with the discord call connect sound makes me believe that
these files have been edited in some way by Micheal or some other third party in FLstudio and as such must be viewed with skepticism
