Fear of reliving an unpleasant experience is still fear. You can call it distain, hatred, or just plain avoidance, it's semantics at that point. But no one ever says "I hate X" without some underlying consequence of X that they're afraid of experiencing. You might not be scared of Dr. Pepper, you might not be scared of the taste, but the the desire to avoid unpleasant experiences was triggered when you tasted Dr. Pepper and decided you didn't like it.Same deal with being sick. Even if its a disease that is harmless and you know will pass, its not a fun experience, so I avoid it.
