🐱 Hillary Clinton suggests transgender debate 'should not be a priority' for Dems

Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said Democrats should be focused on winning elections and suggested they should not treat the transgender debate as a priority.

Clinton made the comments in an extensive interview with the Financial Times published Friday. The reporter pressed Clinton to state her position on some of the issues Democrats have pushed for on the national level that are unpopular among most Americans.

"Democrats seem to be going out of their way to lose elections by elevating activist causes, notably the transgender debate, which are relevant only to a small minority. What sense does it make to depict JK Rowling as a fascist?" the reporter asked.
"We are standing on the precipice of losing our democracy, and everything that everybody else cares about then goes out the window," Clinton responded. "Look, the most important thing is to win the next election. The alternative is so frightening that whatever does not help you win should not be a priority."

Clinton's press office did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.

Clinton has made a habit of criticizing the most radical members of the Democratic Party in recent months. She warned in December that progressive Democrats could lose elections for the Party in 2022.

"I think that it is a time for some careful thinking about what wins elections, and not just in deep-blue districts where a Democrat and a liberal Democrat, or so-called progressive Democrat, is going to win," Clinton said at the time. "I understand why people want to argue for their priorities. That’s what they believe they were elected to do."

"Look, I'm all about having vigorous debate. I think it’s good, and it gives people a chance to be part of the process," she added. "But, at the end of the day it means nothing if we don’t have a Congress that will get things done, and we don’t have a White House that we can count on to be sane and sober and stable and productive."

Clinton's Friday comments come days after President Joe Biden signed an executive order claiming Republicans "bully kids" with restrictions on transgender drugs and operations for minors.

Several Republican-led states have pushed to ban hormone treatments and gender transition surgery for minors, as well as prevent males who are transgender from competing in women's sports.

Polls show Americans overwhelmingly opposetransgender males competing in women's sports.

I wonder how much salt Hillary literally calling for trannies to be hung upside from lampposts is going to generate?

I did see this, though I suppose a Twitter handle of "hot4trotsky" might not exactly be the place to go for reasonable takes.

To be fair to the troon, if Hillary had refrained from being a totally unlikeable cunt and the Democrats had actually put effort into campaigning in the swing states instead of writing off Trump as a joke and assuming they'd already won, she might even be on her second term right now.

But unfortunately, Hillary is an unlikeable cunt and the Democrats did assume they'd already won.

I do wonder sometimes if Hillary getting elected wouldn't have been better for the country. Trump didn't drain the swamp but he sure did unite the Left and turbocharge all its worst elements. Might there have been some adults in the room who would have told the trannies to not be crazy if Hillary was in office, but who opted instead to be silent under Trump because "we need to #resist"? Who knows.

hmm, maybe, but I think that Trump at least gave us some breathing room of 4 years while the left/dems/MSM went frothing insane. I think a lot of the things we are seeing now under biden were supposed to happen under Hillary (building back better, great resetting, going green etc) but in a more controlled slow drip way. And it would have been done while the dems had a lot more resources and political clout, but instead they're just trying to ram it through after their pyrrhic 2020 victory that is now seeing the dems losing the plot.

You could also have eyes, half a functioning brain and one good ear to realize how badly the DNC is run, but hey there are apparently a lot of people who lack those features and need this shoved down their throats.
Aww, thanks. I'm touched.

Say what you will about hillary being an evil old bat, but at least she was intelligent and pragmatic as she was ruthless.
NOW everybody is embracing Hillary Clinton. You're making it uncool now.

Why is this only from Fox News? I cannot find this story anywhere else.
It is in a couple of places, like MSN, but you're right this seems to be getting downplayed.

I was curious to see an explosion of autism at Reddit, but I don't see any threads about this at either /r/news or /r/politics. Weird, but maybe they're coming.

Some of them are still bitter about Hillary losing. It's only a matter of time. On Pride Month no less. If not, then something's amiss.
