Not something i would have expected you to say to this question. Care to indulge me, explain further?
Pussies out in response to discomfort. It's a huge chunk of his problems. (And probably all of his practical problems nowadays)

This is more or less what I wanted to write, but I would rather call it a total unwillingness to endure even the slightest of inconveniences. IMO, this is the root cause of all the bad qualities mentioned by the OP. Chris's egotism stems from both being unable to have any one of his whims refused (i.e entitlement) and a desire to preserve his pride, leading to deep denial. This also leads to Chris's bad judgements - he's not willing to concede a mistake and therefore will continue with his behavior no matter what, reality be damned. How his laziness is related to all of this is obvious.

Again, not what i was expecting. I took a moment to digest the statement. Is it fair to say that you are saying something similar to me but in a different way, he is only going to be in his comfort zone and his past, and the former is shrinking?

His parents since they're the ones who coddled Chris and treated autism like a terminal disease.

I would say it's his ego. Specifically, the belief that he is as God made him, a flawless being, and that as such, he doesn't have to make any effort to improve himself or his life.

Lol. I am not any sort of christian, not even a weston chandler, but i have studied the bible. It really is a book about striving to be something different than you are at its most basic level.

But then again, it takes a certain level of understanding and introspection to even half understand that goddamn book.

Playing devil's advocate here, but couldn't Chris's ego be reenforced by his laziness? As in, he doesn't want to work, so he justifies his laziness by saying that that work is beneath him, which in turn feeds his ego.

I would argue the opposite, his laziness is reinforced by his ego.

I was going to say hubris, but cowardice and/or laziness could be the root flaw. Either one. What's referred to as "Amotivational syndrome" in chronic marijuana smokers, Chris has in spades. He's like The Blob from X-Men. He doesn't move. He doesn't grow. He doesn't change. Evolution and adaptation are traits he does not have, making him think the world has passed him by or that the world owes him something.

Maybe it's both, and they feed into each other in a never ending cycle of derp. Chris's laziness causes him to refuse to do any real work, which he justifies with "I'm spezuls", which boosts his ego, which causes him to view work as beneath him, which makes him even more lazy.

His past is a nice fantasy, but not a core issue.

Fatty desperately avoids discomfort. So, for example, he's too much of a pussy to stand up to Barb, it's easier to fold and obey her. Too much of a pussy to approach women, he wants them to approach him. Too much of a pussy to get a job, he wants to be a house husband. Any internet galpal would tell you how trivial it is to bully Chris into doing what you want. Hell, Kacey was a great example of someone bullying Chris into submission. (Heh, and now that I think about it, Barb's pretty similar to Kacey)

(I also think that Chris prefers female friends over guy friends, because teenaged boys are boisterous and mess with each other and stuff, and I think Chris just couldn't handle that. But I can't find the quote on the cwcki that led me to believe that. Something about "rude words" or some bullshit.)

But yeah, Chris thinks he's a big man when he's safe. (so, when he's behind a camera, or no one's watching, or he can peal away and no one will catch him) But in any practical situations, he's a huge coward.

Chris is really afraid of everything hard in the world. I mean, reasonably, of course: growing up is scary. But that's why you have parents to push you out of the nest sometime.

The best example of his pussiness is when barb cut his hair

I think his absolute obsession with the past is a large part of what ive seen on the wiki and here. What happened isnt the thing, his refusal to let it go...is huge.

Nah, the best example is when he cried after being punched in the face by the black kid and got demoted to the FREAKING HANDICAPPED SPECIAL ED BUS!
Wait haw? When did he get punched by a got dang nego?
