This is normally something I would post in Deep Thoughts, but that would attract all the worst spergs. Maybe I'll run into actual sense here. :optimistic:

Sometimes it feels like KF is defined entirely by contrarianism to the Left. The left advocates a thing, therefore we must hate it. The left hates a thing, therefore we must love it.

I get that particularly with regards with how omnipresent Hitler is here. It feels like its just because the Left made a big deal in comparing everyone to him for the last ten years.

As a kid/teen, all I knew of Hitler was "he's a boss in Wolfenstein 3D and I shot him." I knew he was a historical figure and was the big bad of World War II, and even in early internet edgelords liked to compare everyone to him--back then there was an actual rule against it (Godwin's Law) which discouraged people from doing it.

Honestly, these days, if I had Godlike Powers, I would like to make everyone in the world forget about Hitler. Not change history or alter any historical records, just twelve hours from now everyone in the world would forget anything they know involving a man named Hitler or a group called Nazis.

Because I'm sick of hearing about them.

I mean, fundamentally, what makes them any different from any other tyrannical regime that thought mass violence was the way to fix humanity? Just that they're the most recent, from what I can tell (except Hitler's not even that).

So how come I don't see Kiwi spergs saying "praise be to Genghis Khan?" Oh, right, its because the Left doesn't like to compare everyone to Genghis Khan therefore he doesn't have the cool/edgy appeal that Hitler does.

And I mean, look at Hitler. That haircut, that moustache. Kings of the past wore colorful, flowing robes... Hitler dresses like his mom put his outfit together. Like, imagine if my magic spell of "nobody remembers this guy" went through--tomorrow, you'd see his picture and be like "he looks like a dork."

I tend to also feel this way about KF's Jew Hate. We hate Jews because they're the group Hitler targeted. If Hitler instead targeted Norwegians, we would have endless topics about how Norwegians are behind everything bad and are out to destroy society. If Hitler instead targeted space octopi, we would have endless topics about how space octopi control the deep state and are the ones trying to censor games on Steam.

Again tho... Hitler is just one more murderous dictator, astroturfed by circumstance.

Why don't we instead shine a light on people like Stalin, Pol Pot, or Kim Jong? They're otherwise not particularly special either, but at least one of those people is actually still alive, plus it would at least serve a practical consideration of highlighting that Communism/Socialism invariably leads to dictatorships. Which is useful in a day and age where every idiot teenager who doesn't want to get a job decides they're gonna support Communism.

I like Hadrian more. I wish more people talked about him.

Granted, I'm a newfag, so any and all statements should be understood that this is a newfag with the required temerity, but in general... it's like remarking that water is wet. No one here's gonna steel-man any of them in the first place, not even ironically, because it's just kinda boring. You need to be a special kind of sperg to want to do that (Guilty as charged) and most of them honestly could find better outlets for it in various YouTube channels.

Like... I could go into a long-winded shpiel about how most of our problems come down to Focault, Marx, and general postmodernism and how this uprooted virtually all of the standard defenses tradition had for itself which left conservatism reeling for ~90 years minimum. But it's gonna be a very long, very dry read, there's going to be some high odds I miss some important detail or some other sperg will come along and yell about how I got this or that detail wrong, and it kinda would turn into monkeys flinging shit at a certain degree because everyone has that pet theory of theirs for why society is going to shit, and a key part of this kind of discussion is actually finding a follow-through from kiddie fucking postmodernism to today.

At another level, that conversation really isn't as informative as many people want, since you won't get a solution out of it. You'll get a problem, you'll get the nature of that problem, and you might come away with a means of slaying the progressive dragon. But you won't really ever solve it just by talking about how bad they are simply because that cat is out of the bag now. Progressive 2: Electric Boogaloo can come back when everyone's forgotten about the OG Progressivism and we RETVRN quite literally to where we left. You need something else to reify whatever you think that solution is now that deconstruction is a known and easy thing to do, and that's just not a fun or optimistic conversation, at least if you're like me and don't want to burn it all down. If you do want to burn it all down, you probably don't want to be having this conversation over... well... trying to burn it all down.

Those are my idle thoughts on it at least. This just straight up isn't a conversation your average person likes to really do. It's not fun, and there's not really anyone to laugh at since you kinda need to come to grips with the fact a kiddy diddler succeeded in helping demolish modern society.

People talk about Hitler because he is the most important person of the 20th century. History ended with his death and politics began. Every political decision of Western world of the last century can pretty much be traced back to a reaction against Hitler and Nazi Germany or in preventing national socialism from ever occurring again. He was the Napoleon of his day. He gets talked about more because his actions still impact the present day. Gengis Khan is just history. Pol pot had no major impact on the Western world.

Crying shame that. Mussolini was far more integral to fascist thought IMO.

Hitler was a cool dude but for some reason dudes who wear tiny hats and have big noses hate him. Weird.

Who is this "we" exactly?
KF is not an ideological monolith, you can find that out by talking to people here.
We're quite a diverse bunch here, united by our mockery of the weirdos online and by our desire to shitpost.

Personally, I don't hate all Jews, I have Jewish friends.
However, Netanyahu is the biggest warmonger on the planet right now and he should definitely get gassed.
There's also a correlation between people advocating for degeneracy and white European replacement in the media and their early life section.

I know and have heard plenty of tankies talk up their favorite mass murderers in the same way people sperge about Hitler.

Honestly, these days, if I had Godlike Powers, I would like to make everyone in the world forget about Hitler. Not change history or alter any historical records, just twelve hours from now everyone in the world would forget anything they know involving a man named Hitler or a group called Nazis.
Oh, so you are just bored of Hitler the First and want a new fresh Hitler. I get it.

Where's the endless Martin Luther sperging?
Luther is counterindicated in edgelord-right circles because they tend to be full of tradcath larpers, who naturally maintain a grudge against Luther and his apostate kin. Now, why Hitler gets a pass for all the bizarre Nazi occultism is another matter, and one I don't have a great answer for. Maybe all the vaporwave RETVRN TO HYPERBOREA videos with the spinning black sun are simply seen as sufficiently aesthetic and beneficial to the cause to forgive all sin.

I wish more dictators got screen time. Hitler and Stalin are brutal and all, but I want some wacky fun ones like Gaddaffi or the Turkmanistan one I am too retarded to spell the name of. Maybe Mobutu if you want an evil fashionable guy.
North Korea has come close to reaching Hitler/Stalin levels of infamy with Kim Jong il and Kim Jong Un. I haven't heard the news mention NK in a while now that I think about it.
