I hate to be a killjoy, but I don't think that there will be another Hitler. The future will not involve some charismatic leader grasping the populace. That's true, but I think there will still be space for a neo-Hitler there. War making will probably be off the table for most though. But concentration camps and vastly tightened state controls and other horrible shit are still on the cards for neo-Hitler. I guess that really shifts the goalposts down though. Since someone will be able to take Erdogan's place and maybe do shit like that. Xi Jiping and Kim Jong-Un already do the concentration camps. Putin himself is cracking down on the people even more now as his paranoia rises and he also uses North Korean concentration camp prisoners.

Nothing lasts forever though, therefore even a 1984-style establishment is doomed to fail eventually. And then afterwards, there would be opportunities for more Hitlers.

I suspect the next leader of China will do more fucked up shit than Xi is doing atm. So my bets are on the next Hitler being some young and upcoming CCP politician.

I'm honestly not so sure about that. China is a commie shit hole but until Xi Jiping beyond the censorship that's typical of China. But their leaders after Mao's death and Mr.Tienanmen Square's have been pretty passive and team oriented when it comes to running the country. That's why there's probably a huge hole in everyones' mind when they think of China after Mao and Deng Xiaoping to Xi. However Xi has done a shit ton of purges of the party, revoked term limits and effectively rerouted all the power into his hands. Outside of the pragmatic nature of it, a huge force for the Russian-Chinese relationship is how much Xi loves the Russians. This is very unusual because the Chinese don't generally like the Russians and they compete in more areas than they're friends (Battle for influence in central Asia, occupied Manchuria and the soviet-sino split)

If Xi handpicks his successor he could be worse. But a lot of Xi's drive comes from pure delusion that the Asian century is inevitable (unlike Deng who doubted it would come) and the desire to one-up Mao for killing his father and to maintain control at home. The informal contract with the Chinese people since the days of Xiaoping's reforms is "If you let us stay in power we'll bring you economic prosperity." This has worked for decades but is starting to slow down because China is getting to expensive and companies are moving to South East Asia's rising powers because they're still cheap (Indonesia and Vietnam) China's population is getting very old and their water supplies is expected to run out by 2030. While their population will be too old to sustain the low skill factory work China needs. On top of the massive diseases killing their livestock. A lot of the fearmongering is retards and Western propaganda needing to point at the big scary ideological enemy. The reason you see this resurgence in Chinese uber nationalism and their politicians constantly starting shit and ruining relations is because Xi is worried about his standing at home with China's economy about to peak because it's all downwards in a few years. So he needs to move the Chinese people who hate the CCP but understand the economic benefits into nationalistic demo gauges. It's why they've been so much harder on the censorship lately too. Russia is also guilty of that last point and why Putin is suddenly so big on censorship and surveillance.

Because of how East Asia is it's very much the norm for their countries to be shitholes that pump out 20 babies a second then to suddenly industrialize and experience massive economic growth that than torpedoes their birth rates to 66% of what it needs to be at best (South Korea, Japan, and now China, Indonesia, and Vietnam) Japan tends to be the face of the slowly dying powerhouse Asian economy, but at 1.4 babies a family they have the best birthrate figures of any Asian economy that's done or almost done popping off. China just disproportionately popped off because of its massive size. Much like Turkey with Ataturk vs Erdogan, if China could harvest the energy of Deng Xiaoping spinning in his grave they would become one of the world's biggest producers of green energy instantly.

s much as it may seem Paul Miller might become the next Hitler, he still has too many morals. Despite his nationalist/racist/etc. views, he has restraint around the young and vulnerable. He has moments of humanity that a Hitler-esque figure wouldn't really have

Hitler allowed the evacuation of Dunkirk to go ahead because he believed uniting Britannia with Germany. He could have wiped out France but didn't because he wanted France and Germany united.
