I'll admit that in retrospect I could have written that review better. As a critic I shouldn't write in a style that could put down those that do enjoy something. FWIW: In that same month I reviewed 7 games or something, on top of my normal editorials, so I was mentally exhausted. I was binging games for 15 hours a day for multiple weeks. Though, the review score I stand by. I like challenge in my stealth games and I found Hitman to be too easy, but again, I could have conveyed that in a better manner. Before the spate of reviews I did that month, I'd never written reviews before, needless to say, it's a learning experience.

And, not that it matters, but I did play it on the hardest settings. I do that in most games I play, something my PS4 trophies can confirm. As for contempt for gamers, nah, I only have contempt for those that get paid to play games and who arent good at them, ie, most game journos.
Shut up cracker

The new ET I’m torn on. On one hand putting two ETs that were separate into one mission does make the mission really good outside of just being an ET, on the other hand if they become too good why have them as ETs instead of just bonus missions?

New mission in New York came out yesterday

It’s really good

sucks how the bank and the 2 other missions are out and i cant even play them because i dont have the pass

the bank's pretty piss easy to sa/so but considering how long it's been since a mainline mission, i think they're gonna wrap up the whole story in hitman 2 i think. it's been a while since the last mission as well, so the bank is a nice refresher. a bit linear and more a return to form from classic, smaller missions, but i hope their next map is one as big as mumbai but in a more modern city

imagine doing a hitman mission in a map the size of prague from mankind divided, that'd be great

Bank felt small in size but there are a bunch of angles to finishing the job that I want to try. Plus I love heist movies so I dig the vibe of breaking into a bank.

The next sandbox mission is going to be in The Maldives. It's a resort called Haven Island, they've posted that's what they're going to do in their 2019 road map and there's hints to it in the New York level.

Personally, I think it could go either way. The Partners from H2 could be there or it could just be a way of locating them. We'll see, if the story wraps up now that means we won't really get a conclusion on how Diana will handle the reveal of 47 killing her parents but W/E.

I know IO recently opened up a new studio for making both a new IP and a place for making additional Hitman content, which I think leans more into the Hitman 3 for definite route

the new sniper assassin map requires the gold version of the game
wow, the silver edition stuff didn't last that long :\

According to IO’s monthly twitch stream they’re gonna give people an option to upgrade to Gold Edition from Silver
Here’s what the 30th July’s update is gonna be.

And here’s the August road map

we need more elusive targets for season 2 maps. legacy tagets are fine and all, but i mean i dont think we've gotten an elusive target in whittleton creek or mumbai yet like io please man i want the suburban suit with gloves

According to IO all their resources are on The Resort now, which is coming out in October. So there won’t be any new ETs until then

I just want my fucking Imperial Suit with gloves already, I'm invested in it so much that I'm sure in 6 months or whenever we get a Mumbai ET I'll fuck it up somehow and there won't be another Mumbai contract until summer of 2020.

Also, I've heard The Chameleon is one of the original ETs people tend to bitch about, what was the problem with it? Badboy was the first ET I really didn't like, way too narrow with only two ways to get him to leave the cafe without some convoluted coin throwing game.

it was boring
iirc, he just stays in one place, can't be made to leave
and for being called "the chameleon", he's not in disguise

He has a caveat that he must be killed in a non-explosive accident, which is probably a response to the Fire Extinguisher + Remote Breaching Charge cheese trick that was used in Hitman 2016 to get easy SA. I'm not sure if they will keep this restriction, since Fire Extinguishers now only knockout nearby people when they explode. That, in addition to it being on Colorado, where almost every NPC there is armed, gives even less room for error.
