If there's a creation space for mods in Hogwarts Legacy, I imagine they would be regulated by the publisher. I'm sure Nexus Mods or other sources exist for more racy mods.

So, that DLC they announced with 10-15 hours of new story doesn't have a release date. It'll be interesting to see how many people pick it up considering how well this game did despite coming out at the height of "JK Rowling is a bigot!" and how we were awful people for even wanting the game to exist, much less play it. I wonder how many of them secretly did play it and enjoy it.

There is mods on sites like Modding Haven or Based.Mods that don't make a mention of requiring a service like this. I am guessing this is like Steam Workshop, where if you don't know how to manually drag or unpack files into the game's folder the service does it for you.

Well for an add-on, but not enough to make a haters shut it. For example Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk had an absolutely insane attach rate, and that was only something like 20%.

Even more sad is that Hogwarts Legacy catered to their demographic. I remember interacting with a female bartender that had a DEEP, male voice. If they're willing to harass a once beloved author because she didn't bend the knee, imagine what those people would do with FULL power and ZERO consequences.

Eh, I hate woke shit as much as the next chud but this game isn't really WOKE... it just doesn't have enough personality for that.
It IS funny though that even in a game full of brown people the most popular characters are a white, blonde slytherin boy who mercs his own father, his white, blind, slytherin friend, and a white 7/10 redhead herbology teacher.
I'm looking forward to the dlc and mods, I stand by my earlier statement that a companion system where you have a character just follow you, help with combat, and offer their opinions on things would elevate this empty ass game so, so much. It's wild they programmed the ai to fight with you, but so rarely use it outside a few quests.

That's before the modding tools got released for this game though. Some dev studios (bethesda) go out of their way to fuck up modders by changing file structure or even additionally encrypting game data to make modding nigh impossible (rock✡star with GTA:SA). Legaycy's devs strike me as a bunch of faggots, and WB are a viper nest of spiteful cunts with their patenting of SoW's nemesis system, so I expect the worst.

I'm disappointed in that department. There is some things that games from early 2000s do better, for example the "lessons", which are just QTEs in this one. Fucking cutscenes with button prompts, remember when you not only had to do a quick minigame to "learn" a given spell but you had an entire level dedicated to learning how that spell works? What happened to that?
The game is also janky and the game mechanics don't really mesh together. There might be something in there that has potential but as is, it's just not done cooking yet. As is, we're left with a fully explorable hogwarts, and that's enough for some people, what's there to actually do in there? Same shit you do in every other open world game, specifically of Ubisoft brand. Boring, I need more than that. Story isn't anything special, characters aren't anything special, the item tiering system is fucking garbage(WHY DO YOU NEED THIS IN A HARRY POTTER GAME?), there doesn't seem to be any real consequences for using the deadly curses, and of course the giant elephant in the room that some users are trying to walk around here is that the game doesn't feel like it takes place in 1800s or whatever when it looks like a university in fucking California today. This alone kills any immersion you might have.
No, I think this game would have been a Harry Potter's wet dream if it was something of a mix of Chamber of Secrets/Prisoners of Akzhaban and Bully. Most disappointing aspect is that you don't feel like a student, you feel like a generic protagonist that does whatever the fuck he wants in Hogwarts, you really needed a mandatory or optional benefits for attending classes and trying to do well in them instead of just making them story cutscenes. If you don't even feel like a student in a wizarding school, what else is there?
This is a good proof of concept, but nothing more. People need to learn to not just thank the developers for any helping of slop they get, especially when we used to have better games in the past.
