Probably one year. They've already said that you're pretty much starting year 5 and have to play catch up with the other students.

Devs aren't talking much because they want everything to be a surprise. In actuality, it's to hide the fact that the game will probably fairly shallow at certain points, and then people will start to wonder what the Hell was taking so much time developing. They've already said Wizard's Chess isn't in the game, despite the fact that chess would probably be one of the easiest things to program (and probably is a basic fucking programing exercise somewhere.), but the animations would be the most time consuming.

Expect the sequel to be better.
