Game devs are just too dishonest these days, can't believe the genocide marketing hype.I was promised a trans genocide by this game and I've only been met by disappointment so far.

"One copy of Hogwarts Legacy please."

As I think many of you know, I am a strong trans-rights supporter. I am hoping to build bridges of understanding between the different communities, but what about what J.K Rowling has to say? Well my thought is, first, you should read her statement very carefully; I would advise that you don't let others do your thinking for you.
Now when I read it, I see that there are points where I disagree and points where I can see her reasoning. So when I read J.K Rowling's position, I see that she's expressing herself in a calm and reasonable manner, and she even provides explanations for why she thinks the way that she does. She's worthy of conversation, not cancelation. I see a potential bridge there and I also see, because she took the time to write this, where I would initiate that conversation. So I appreciate what she's done there as well.
I eventually found out that the power button was broken. My investigation broke quite a few more things

'put so much time into...'A guy who made a gimmick Twitter account has a mental breakdown over the game using their line to promote the game.

Person made a Twitter called “Can You Pet The Dog?” that literally doesn’t nothing other than tell you if you can pet an animal in a game.
An official Harry Potter twitter said you can pet a cat in the game, and apparently the dude thinks he invented the statement and can’t stand that mean ol’ bigot J.K. Rowling used his catchphrase to promote the game. What the fuck is he whining about?
You're so mad people want to piss off libtards for ruining gaming lol"I dont want politics in mah vidya game discussion"
*soy face points at a harry potter game*
"Wooooah we can own the libs by buying this game inspired by a book written by a libtard woman that wants men castrated"
"This blatant cognitive dissonance is ok because me no like tranny and enemy of my enemy retardation"
For sure, but you also shouldn't discount the amount of people in their mid-to-late 20's who want to play it cause they grew up on Harry Potter and the game is perfectly positioned nostalgia bait. I ain't ashamed of that, I don't mind submitting myself to astroturfed brainworm pop-culture. It's fun, and easy. Being able to justify all that with your favourite Twitter hashtags makes it even better I'm sure. The best thing about all this 'controversy' is that the game is almost certainly going to end up being a forgettable, completely inoffensive, mid tier Ubisoft style open world game.
Great marketing for the developer, honestly. The outrage has somehow managed to convince terminally online conservative culture warriors that playing and defending a Harry Potter game - a brand inextricably tied with feminists and out of touch libs, created by a woman obsessed with virtue signaling - is based and redpilled.
Yeah, that's my take on what it'll end up as. People seem to think this is going to be some year-by-year wizard simulator where you go to class even though making a gameplay loop out of that isn't possible. Instead, it'll just be the same cookie cutter open-world recipe everything else is these days. God of War, Witcher 3 without the writing, all the Assassin's Creed garbo, etc.The best thing about all this 'controversy' is that the game is almost certainly going to end up being a forgettable, completely inoffensive, mid tier Ubisoft style open world game.
