Do you guys remember the Homestar Runner cartoons from the early days of flash cartoons before the Youtubes?
I was watching a sbemail about Strong Bad entering The Cheat in a pet show and he has disqualified for "vagrant use of relish foot" and then he was all like "Don't worry, we're currently appealing the decision of the judges. We're also currently a'peeling POTATOES"
And then Strong Bad dives into a pile of potatoes while a jaunty tune plays.

The Homestar Runner creators have recently begun making new content after a half-decade hiatus, right? Though I'm afraid to look at the new stuff they have coming out, because what if it just doesn't compare to the old classics?

I dunno man, I haven't heard about that. I thought they moved on to working on Yo Gabba Gabba or something
EDIT: Apparently they literally just made a cartoon on the 1rst, I will watch it and report back
EDITEDIT: I watched it, it was pretty good. It had a lot of meta references to shit they did in the past on the site for April Fools also just general April Fools shenanigans that happen on the internet, then Strong Bad pranked all his friends irl

I liked them when I was younger and I saw some of their new stuff and it holds up pretty well.

The new stuff isn't bad at all, IMO. I did get into Homestar pretty late, though, during their hiatus.

I started with the techno one.
Updating once every few months is better than every few years.

I bought the figures from their dad at a con.

I miss them regularly doing stuff, but I'm glad they're getting real work and real life things that keep them occupied. Homestar was a great ride when it was a thing.

I was in the tenth grade during homestar's peak. One day, I heard two guys in my English class talking about the latest sbmail and I geeked out and decided to join their conversation. I'm still friends with those guys to this day, all because of a weird little flash cartoon. :heart-full:

We watched the Trogdor video on the first day of PSYC100. That wasn't the first time I saw it, though.

I remember watching homestar runner all the time starting from 2005 to when the giant hiatus started, I am glad that they work on some of my favourite shows recent shows that being the Aquabats supershow (Which I think is pretty underrated), Gravity Fall and Wander over Yonder but I still wish they come back to work on more homestar runner.

I fucking love Homestar Runner. I think it was my first real introduction to the Internet. I've definitely seen every video multiple times. Picking a favorite is impossible, but I'd have to go with the Pumpkin Carve-inal. Every line is a classic.
They still got it. That imitation of Pavement is spot-on.

Has anyone had the fortune of playing Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People?

I played some of a couple of them. There's one on the Wii I bought from a relative, I pirated one of the PC ones, and I got another PC one legit when it was free for some reason.
Seems okay. I held my attention waaaaaaaaaaaay more than pretty much any other "click on shit" adventure games, but I still eventually wandered off.

I have. For those of you who haven't it was a damn fun game, with a lot of the great stuff that the cartoons had. One particularly great part of the game was the "world debut" of Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective.

I love Homestar Runner! Although its sad that they haven't made anything since 2010, probably for the better that they don't jump the shark.

I always loved the King of Town.

It seems like nobody remembers them anymore :(

Their fans are still out there. I daresay history is on its side and it'll be remembered as one of the finest things to come out of the Internet. But that'll be in the future, I guess...
