Homestar Runner - hai guoys

You must've missed the update last year. Their hiatus is over.
Still there haven't been anything new since April unless you count that thing they did for Worldbuilders.

On side note their new cartoon for Disney début today, and it . . . something

I have a fun story for you all, my best friend, when he was a kid had his email answered by Strong Bad
He was on a lot of medication and he had a lot of anger problems. He told me he just used his first name because he was like 10 and his parents told him never to use his full name on the internet.
We were watching sbemails one day and I click on this one and he's like, "Oh yeah, I sent Strongbad that when I was a kid"
I promptly told my family who all know and enjoy Homestar Runner and we started all saying "I LIKE IT MOST WHEN YOU HARM YOUR FRIENDS" when he was around and he was super embarrassed but everyone thought it was the greatest thing. Haven't said it to him in a while, maybe I'll have to bust it out the next time we hang out.
He's never lied to me before so I believe him, I mean, what a mundane thing to lie about as an adult.

Does it mean I have no musical taste if I like 'B-est of B side'?

'cause it's pretty easy to listen to.
A lot of the H*R songs are decent songs in their own right.

Anyone here have the album, Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits?

It's great, it provides you with all the best songs from the site, but unfortunately, it doesn't have "The Ballad of the Sneak," so in that regard, it could be better.

I remember back when that was pretty much it for Homestar media you could buy.

A "completely appropriate time" bump for "Halloween Hijinks", the 2020 Halloween cartoon.

I know the "Stave It Off" guy isn't a new character but it's still weird seeing a cartoon of a guy who is more or less a normal human being interacting with the usual Homestar Runner cast.

This is Bod, a British cartoon from 1975 based on a children's book series.

I'm in my 40s, I was born in Britain (though I moved to Canada when I was a toddler), and I have a pretty goddamn good memory for obscure kids shows I watched, and I saw plenty of British educational cartoons as interstitial filler and on public television, but Bod is completely new to me.

So that’s why they didn’t do the silhouette thing this year.

Weren't the silhouettes in most of the previews completely different costumes from the costumes the characters actually wore in the final cartoon?

No. You were supposed to guess. That's how I knew what Homestar was gonna be last year.

You're thinking of the fact referenced in this cartoon that Strong Bad's position is always taken up by some extremely awesome and realistic costume that he never wears: Xenomorph, Predator, that thing from Tremors, the monster from Stranger Things, and so on.

@A Random Yeah, I guess I was just thinking of Strong Bad's preview silhouettes, with this year's silhouette-only costume being obviously Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors.

That was a nice payoff to random shit from like fifteen years ago.
