my favorite movie is "everything everywhere all at once". HIGHLY recommend if you struggle with some of the same things as me, especially feeling that you've wasted your life or wasted your potential, or like every day is the same. or if you have a strained relationship with your parent or kid...
warning--sexual content (dildos lol) and also a very very minor lesbian subplot.
2x warning--you WILL cry. you will. "But I never cry at-" no, you will cry. actually all these films are tearjerkers, but this one especially.
i also recommend "puss in boots: the last wish" if you're not one of those ppl who vomits at the mere notion of animation. deffo one of the only
super high quality family movies to come out in the last decade.
also consider checking out "the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse". it's also animated, but only like half an hour long. it's based on a book which i recommend just as much.
here is a very similar book called "big panda and tiny dragon". both so heartwarming and encouraging. <3
i can't think of more stuff rn, so thanks for letting me yap---hope at least one person in the world gets something from this post. that'd be enough for me ^^
