Anyway, it doesn't affect my viewing of The Goldbergs. I fucked off years ago when each characters 'funny' schtick became incredibly old. Also when they ran out of heartwarming homilies to shoehorn in at the end, so started putting all sorts of ass-backwards bullshit messages that they tried to disguise with sentimental music and actors looking thoughtful. It was like My Name Is Earl in that respect.

I had no idea it even survived long enough to be renewed for a tenth season. I'm looking at the people in the clips and getting this sort of vibe:


So, yeah, kill it.

Both American Dad and Family Guy briefly parodied It, and both of them were better than what Simpsons will ever accomplish.
 
With classic-era Simpsons, at least them parodying Stanley Kubrick's The Shining was justified, given that, not only was it was a film that came out 14 years before that episode's airdate, but it was more of a timeless movie, whereas It was a straight-up fad from five years ago, even if both movies are based on both iconic Stephen King IPs.

This thread is proof that companies and content creators really need to stop feeding the trolls and haters. I guess even mainstream content creators are just as much as lolcows as Chris Chan or LadyALT69 are.

I mean, there are right and wrong ways to address critiques and criticism. Addressing the trolls, haters, and non-fans is not the way to go. It is just feeding them, and nothing else.

This is why some shows go on forever, even after Armageddon. Because the creators just love self-imposed wangst and drama.

I'll give my own 2 cents - Witcher on Netflix. Shall I say more? Awful miscasting - Yennifer from Delhi, Triss Browngold, Geralt from Gymivia, Niggerillia Vigo. Killing both Eskel and Ermion. Ballsack armour of Nilfgaardian troops. Sorceresses' initiation. And many more stupid shit that especially made up for this show
