(I'm looking at you Big Bang Theory, you were never good to begin with and all your viewers are trendy retarded hipsters that frequent Tumblr)

That reminds me, why do we still use a laugh track?

You do realize the Naruto anime likely isn't going to end until the manga ends, right?

I guess maybe the manga should end then?

Pokeymans.

There, I said it. Like, seriously, they've exhausted every possible plot structure and character archetype within the universe framework provided by the gaems.

I remember Moviebob said something like, "For everybody that complains about Pokemon, Ash Didn't Grow Up. You Did." It's not like the show was anything other than a glorified commercial for the gaems and TCG in the first place. It's a business model that's worked for Nintendo for the last, what, 15 years now?

Doesn't mean I can't rag on it, though. I really, really want to believe the Ash coma theory is correct so the show would have some hidden meaning beyond serial, low-budget commercials for vidya. (Don't get me wrong, the gaems are awesome.)

Yes, most kids shows are just commercials for toys or other merchandise. My brother and I were into Power Rangers when we were kids and my dad called the shows 30 minute commercials.

Most things on TV shouldn't be on TV.

This. I don't really like to watch TV anymore. I prefer YouTube and watching DVDs of old shows and movies.

I bet you that Kishimoto is going to pull off some bullshit like Kubo did to his own work to keep continuing to milk his cash cow.

Family Guy is absolute garbage. Maybe it used to be funny before it came back and became nothing more than a far left political soapbox for a man who's so in love with himself and the sound of his own voice that he voices 90% of the characters, and every episode MUST include him singing as at least one character, if he's not performing duets with himself. Throw in some unfunny "jokes" where the theory behind it seems to be that the longer it goes on, maybe it'll eventually get funny. Oh also, the 80s and Star Wars! I remember those things, and I LOVE THINGS I REMEMBER!

The Simpsons is more tragic. It's like growing up with a friend who was like the funniest guy you've ever known, and he helped shape your entire sense of humor with his brilliance, but then he got into a car accident and now he just sits drooling in his hospital bed, occasionally trying to recapture some of his old brilliance, but the head trauma just makes it pathetic nonsense, and you just want to see him finally die because it's too painful to watch him slowly wasting away, no longer even a shadow of the friend you knew and loved.

They actually cancelled the Inuyasha anime well before the manga ended, but that hasn't stopped Adult Swim from continuing to air reruns, unfortunately. :(

Naruto is just one big ripoff of Dragonball (I think he's admitted to Dragonball being a large "influence"), only I don't think the author has any story in mind other then to milk his ripoff dry. Compare that to Toriyama, who was literally forced to continue Dragonball well after he wanted to stop.

I've said twice in the manga/anime thread that I hope the current arc is the last. There's really nowhere else the story can go.

Also, the Bleach and Inuyasha anime got cancelled before their respective manga ended due to excessive/crappy filler. The same thing happened to Rurouni Kenshin.

Who wants to be a Millionaire is still in syndication, right? How? I remember that show kicking off the network reality show network hell that we know today. Seems like before "millionare" reality show was only on cable.

I hope Survivor is taken off the air by 2016. How can over a million people still be watching it?

My elderly mom is still crazy about the survivor, and I absolutely hate that she is. I think she just likes watching shows where people are mean to each other. I'm embarrassed to admit that I liked the first season of Survivor (13 years ago! D:) but at the time there was nothing else like it on tv.

Neither will end anyway.

Naruto is like a Japanese Simpons, their creators don't want to let go of their cash cows (I know I wouldn't :tugboat: )

That show is still on the air? I heard them talk about the Finale but apparently it was just the season finale. I even saw Jeff Probst or whatever his name is has his own talk show now, I figure "Well good he found work after Survivor." But damn, turns out they've got another season coming.

I stopped watching it when I first entered college, as I had class on Thursday nights and this was before people pirated every TV show like they do nowadays, and frankly it probably wasn't a huge loss for me.

Actually, Kishimoto said he wants to do a seinen manga after Naruto, so I'm hoping he's already got the end in mind.

The Simpsons almost ended last year due to a pay dispute. Maybe you could convince the cast to ask for a 500% raise ]:(P ]:(P

Big Brother. They killed it off... and it came straight back again! I have no idea how people can get themselves to watch people do nothing in a house all day. I'd set up cameras and watch myself in that case.
It's a little interesting at the start, but when we hit week 5 and there's six people and they have nothing to talk about, it's just dismal, dismal television.
