My contribution to this thread is this notorious metro-Atlanta eyesore. I don't think the listing pages do justice to how tacky the subdivision really is, since they don't seem to show the fact that the fence around the main entrance is covered in shitty, badly cropped replicas of famous paintings. I have my own pics I took years ago in case anyone is that interested in seeing that ugly shit.
It's like a ghetto for the most Karen of Karens.

7,410 square feet, on 0.35 acres, which is 15,246 square feet. Just to get a sense, say the house and the lot are both squares, and the house is centered. That gives you a giant house with only a 19 foot fringe of lawn in all directions, for more money than my farm and all its buildings cost.
I do not understand humanity.

Pretty sure that shit doesn't help American kids get less fat either. Can't really go outside to play and get excersize if you don't have a yard or even a playground (I don't think that subdivision even has a community playground).
I'm glad the house I lived in as a kid was in an older, wooded neighborhood with a creek in the backyard. It was the shit. If you have kids and have the option of a house (or even apartment) with a creek in the backyard, always go for that because creeks are fucking awesome and provide hours of entertainment for kids that gets them off their asses.
Seriously I really don't get why so many people find that McMansion shit desirable, let alone desirable enough to the point that every house built after a certain point is like that. Seriously even smaller houses are like that, all crammed together with like 100+ identical ones covered in ugly siding with no yards (and the sad excuses of yards they have don't even look like real plants).
If I ever get a house, it has to be an older one with at least a decent backyard. I can't do that sterile uncanny valley Karen shit.
