They Will Kill You - I don't know, it has a nigger lead, so I assume it's another wypipo bad movie. Unwatchable in any case.

The Mummy - Lee Cronin, who did Hole in the Ground (which was mid), and Evil Dead Rise (tranny slop trash). Blumhouse and being PG-13 kill whatever minor optimism I had.

They Will Kill You was forgettable at best.

Didn't particularly care for Evil Dead Rise. So I guess The Mummy will be another boring reboot.

Nonserious answer is that Wolfen is a pretty good Werewolf in New York setup, and a very good film in it's own right.

Cheers for that. Never came across Wolfen before, and some of the description is a bit similar to my idea for AEWINY: that the Werewolf protagonist gets infected by what some Injuns call, a Limmikin. The werewolf invasion, as it were, description, reminds me of how Wendigo's came to be in Canada, in Ginger Snaps 3: they're the werewolf curse spreading when the Irish, British, and French settled there. Possibly even further back, when Norsemen were looking for Vinland.

I'm tired of all the Big City same old location shit. I'd like to see a Norwegian Werewolf in Bali.

My idea, actually, is for most of the film, post-attack, to take place in Upstate New York, not the Big Apple.

They Will Kill You
I'm not even bothered about the ethnicity of the Supergirl-Beatrix Kiddo-type lead, who can never apparently lose to several motherfuckers who've murdered shit-tons of motherfuckers, it's that it has Zazie Beetz in it. I've only ever seen her in Joker and Deadpool 2, but it seems to be in her contract, or she's wet for, to do/doing zany films. I find that annoying. Is Zany Zazie trying to be "artsy" and "funny" 'cos she's half Kraut, or what?

Mummy was shit. If you've seen Rise, you already seen Mummy. It is also a typical demon possession movie where the demon happens to be a mummy, instead of the plot circling the mummy. It was like the 'mummy' part was forgotten 10 mins in.
Lee likely has the movie name as such so he can trick the Brendan's Mummy fans to watch his.

This guy is smart enough to hide behind IP addresses. I guess that is the easiest way to make money in current Hollywood.

I actually think you will get fans who prefer these generic horror slop movies over the rest of the original series.

But Jason X is great! It has some of the best kills and most gratuitous nudity of the franchise. You should've made them take it. Still good that another generation is getting an indoctrination into quality cinema.

For some reason They Will Kill You reminds me of Nightmare On The 13th Floor
While They Will Kill You is zany, Nightmare on the 13th Floor's acting is awful, especially at the end, a comment from the comment section of the video says what I am thinking
Gotta admit, near the end, Allen did sound kinda whiny I laughed. "Please, I'll live forever!"

Well, here is a leak of a teaser for Evil Dead Burn.

I'll trust the French on this one. They make brutal horror movies.

The fact that Sam and Bruce are marketing Wrath, which comes out in two years, instead of this adds a thought that Wrath is the safer and risk-averse of the two. Especially having Wrath's director be from California. Fucking California. It's going to be absolute dogshit

I am fine as long as it does not dwelve too far into the torture porn category. The Evil Dead remake from 2013 pushed into borderline torture porn. That movie was ok, but not something I feel like watching more than once.

Sébastien Vaniček is not even remotely a New French Extremity guy. He's directed one film, and it was utter trash (a shit French version of Arachnophobia without the charm, humor or horror). And it looks like EDB will continue from that by being virtually entirely cast with mutts and faggots, augmented with cheap and terrible New Zealand bit players. I'd bet dollars to donuts he's never seen any of the original movies and will both miss the tone and fail to make anything interesting. Then again, I didn't make it through Rise because it was so shit, so if you liked that YMMV.

I haven't seen the other works from this director. For those who have, are they any good?

Directed by: Yeon Sang-ho
Release date: August 28, 2026 (US)(Theaters)

Yeon Sang-ho’s (Train to Busan) newest feature, COLONY, follows Professor Se-jeong as she is thrust into a terrifying hellscape when a mutating virus is unleashed during a biotech conference, forcing authorities to seal the facility to contain the outbreak. Unable to escape, Se-jeong and a group of survivors must fight to stay alive as the infected undergo horrific transformations and threaten to spread the virus.
