I liked Hokum well enough, 6/10 movie. But that dude is only in one scene of the movie, how can he be an icon? and was the worst part of the movie with how over done it was.
Can we drop this gay shit like "icon"? It's basically saying your character is a drag queen. Iconic characters are iconic because of their legacy, not because talk like you wear your mother's underwear to masturbate. Freddy, Jason, Myers are iconic characters, but icon is a specific gay thing.
The ending of this stupid franchise should be Sidney and Gale being the killers, they have plenty of experience with murdering people and the kind of PTSD that would turn a normal person into a maniac.

Also, these bitches have a combined age of 113, it's time to end this shit.
Gale has to survive so she can fuck black men and humiliate Doofy now he's dead.

I wish I was making a dark joke.
Generational trauma is trauma passed down from your ancestors. Some people think this is literally a genetic thing and others think it's a pattern of behavior that causes trauma in subsequent generations but either way there's not generational trauma in Hokum.
Generational trauma exists in the form of epigenetics. Your parents experience can change the expression of your biology in ways that can lead to problems. This is genetics 101. There is no debate to have over if it's a pattern of behaviour or not. Actual measurable changes happen in your genetic code to turn on or off gene expression.

I'm sick of horror being full of retarded shit. I'm sorry you never got over your childhood but I don't want to watch a film about an evil childhood mascot killing people. It's horror for people who never grew up and children who are watching movies they shouldn't be, but are made for them.

I literally cannot decipher what you are trying to say here. Do you have a problem with the word "icon" specifically? Why in the hell?

Epigenetics is still largely unproven so I wouldn't say it's "genetics 101" but I personally believe it's true.

There is a sizeable number of people out there who literally think trauma is written into your genetic code regardless of your upbringing and environment. As in, your mother survived a brutal attack at some point in her life. She gives you up for adoption immediately after birth. You never know her or her history, but you are still afraid of men because her trauma is literally written into your genes. I think this is bullshit.

If nothing else, it should help to funnel all the niggers and faggots to one part of the park for a good chunk of the night, making the other areas much more enjoyable.
The micks, too
I think this is bullshit.
iirc there's something about mold spores carrying on the knowledge of mazes their ancestors solved but that gets into creepy fungi intelligence matters

Just finished "Obsession" and I recommend it.
The girl who played Nikki really nailed being what seemed like severe bi-polar. Most of the time in movies when someone acts crazy it's just big eyes, labored breathing, and being slightly confused.
It's another take on the monkeys paw story but it's just done really well.
It's been a while since I left a theater and felt like it was worth it.
Good to know, I was on the fence about watching it when the Alamo Drafthouse pointed this out as one of the reasons it's a must watch:

When I was studying it, it was a large part of the first few lectures. If I'm wrong then I blame the university.

What your mother experiences will impact your time in the womb. Lets say she had a brutal attack so now she's scared of men and is anxious around them. In the womb you're going to be flooded with anxiety hormones in a way someone else isn't. Which is going to impact how you develop. You might not be afraid of men but you might have a higher degree of anxiety. It makes sense that unborn babies are pre-birth prepared for what they're going to come into. Like how famines impact how unborn babies process food differently.

I have a problem with the term icon because it's fag coded as the kids say. The concept of an actual icon is long dead and now faggots call everything an icon for no reason.

I watched Hellraiser Inferno. It's a fantastic film and I easily give it an 8/10, maybe 9/10. It's a noir detective story where you're never sure what is real and isn't. Which is exactly my kind of horror film. The worst part of the movie is Pinhead, not because Pinhead is bad in any way but he doesn't fit the rest of the film. It's the best Hellraiser movie so far but it's the least Hellraiser movie. The first 3 have bad last acts but really shine in the special effects. 4 is just a mess and shouldn't have gone to space. Cut the past, cut space and just tell the story of a man who unknowingly built a giant cube and now has to shut it down before it opens and unleashes hell.

I like Pinhead but he's poorly used in most of the movies. He really needs to be a general leading from the back, spreading corruption like he does in the black mass scene. But the movies don't use him well and he often comes off as silly when doing body horror stuff.

The space one also having a scene where two brothers discuss fucking a tranny is really off putting. I know Hellraiser is fag bondage turned into horror, but it crossed a line there and it felt like the director justifying fucking trannies. It doesn't even come back into the story in any way, where it could have been shown as a sin of lust to punish.

The Irish? I haven't (and will never have) seen Sinners, are they a big part of it? Or is that a Disney fan slur as well?

Also spiders can spin intricate and species specific webs after achieving maturity, despite never having even seen one. And they can even do it in zero gravity. So there's some kind of knowledge that can be passed on genetically, but who knows what the limit is.
