Term limits are shit. The system is so slow that 8 years isn't enough to do anything, and it misplaces more responsibility VOOTERS, who are of the mistaken belief that the next election cycle is going to solve their problems. If anything, there should be no term limits and the length of terms should be increased.

If you haven't served the country in some capacity, you shouldn't get to vote.

Voting should be a privilege for people who show willingness to contribute to the operations to the country in some way.

We should just do away with this whole democracy/constitutional republic thing honestly, and choose a king very, very carefully and set up some basic precautionary measures.

May as well. Because politicians don't represent their people, while also putting the blame on them for policy. Most of the legislation that gets passed isn't something anyone campaigned on and it wasn't left up to a referendum either. In what way has democracy succeeded in giving people a voice? I find that even on a local level you get a corrupt city council that will go forward with their own agenda no matter how much people complain or who they VOOT for.

Exactly, it's not working like it should in theory anyway so it's better to return to what worked forever and just tweak it. People are so afraid of the idea of a king, but with some limitations and real consequences he'd actually have less power and incentive to fuck you over.

Paying taxes is literally serving the country in some capacity. If this is your point then i agree - only those who pay taxes (citizens) should be allowed to vote.

In the Asmongold thread I saw a lot of people saying he was based for saying Palestinians should get genocided and that it was ironic that gay people were advocating for them when they are the group Muslims would want to be killed.
Barring that Islam is a diverse group of views and not all Muslims want gays and trannies dead (although I will concede, most probably do!) isn't the whole point that everyone, no matter their creed, should ideally be against the systemic destruction of a people, even those who's views oppose theirs? Isn't that like, what American democracy and "the free market of ideas" is built upon? Isn't that what Jesus's teachings are built upon?

At the very least the voting cycle in America happens WAY too often. We need a break longer than a couple of years.

Literally every single Muslim does want fags dead, without exception, aside from ones who violate their faith and in which case are not true Muslims. A Muslim who doesn't hate fags is like a vegan who doesn't hate eating meat.

Faiths change and split - and have always had differing views on social issues like this. If you think there is a "right" version of Islam, that's prerogative, but only if you're a practicing Muslim. I too believe that my faith is the right one, and that's why I have faith in it.
But if you're just going to lump all of them into one category that's doing a great disservice to the religion itself. You can say all Christians hate fags when it's pretty obvious not all do.
Regardless even if what you said was true that doesn't change the fact people should be against genocide regardless of who is getting killed.

What is it with SJWs and the delusional thinking that all of the past is bad and all of the forced "progress" of Current Year is good? That "Whig history" thinking that history is a one-way path of linear "progress" towards "fully automated luxury gay space communism" "the end of history"? Also the old ways aren't always "defeated" and "obsolete", they've often been deliberately "called out" and BS'd against by wannabe commies for "the good" of "the community" -- it is deliberate "astroturfing" there.
