How are you doing? - Kiwi Farms Wellness Check

I jogged on the treadmill yesterday, and I found out it was in the achilles I was inflamed (lower part of heel, in the "dent"). Nothing really wrong, just me going from a sedentary lifestyle to being more active too fast.

Anyway, it felt really good. The foot feels fine too.

I was so tired of everything that I decided to just say 'fuck it, it's Friday anyways', get high & play games on the switch for most of the day. I also cooked a huge batch of Lasagna while I was at it & tidied/cleaned the whole apartment. So yeah, I'm feeling alright now, I guess.

Just woke up, still mega tanked from going out to a birthday party last night. Someone I've had a crush on was there, we work together (of course), they'd been making comments for a while about how they think I'm super attractive so I got their number and asked them out at 3am. I reread the text message just now and am cringing super hard from embarrassment, but I still hope they say yes. Being around them feels incredibly natural. I'm pretty sure they lurk /pol/ or something just because of what we talk about and vibe on when we're together, so that's kinda based I guess.

Just came back from the hospital from health problem #2. Prognosis is the damage will heal over time so I'm really happy about that.
Also just got a major deal on happy diet soda and am snacking on a special bag of red Easter jelly beans. (Four flavors.)

Had to turn the lights off in my office due to being extremely hungover from cope drinking after Italy got eliminated from the World Cup by fucking North Macedonia. Thank God most normal people took the day off and I don't have to browse on stealth mode.
we work together (of course)
Be careful, fam. I've been there and it turned into a disaster (although my romantic interest was not based at all, so I should've seen it coming). I hope you have better luck.

I tried to make some cookies.

Goes well. Been up for 39 hours or so. Finished making supper for everyone so hopefully getting some sleep after.
I miss when I could do that, crash for a few hours, then do it again with no penalty.
I tried to make some cookies.
They look dandy. This is pretty much what my cookies look like. They won't be on the cover of some Martha Stewart branded shit but they're fine dunked in milk.

ETA: actually the one thing I did notice. Did you refrigerate the cookie dough before cooking it? If you do it retains its form a bit better while cooking and the butter melts into it while cooking, so it doesn't puddle out quite as much.

I have sleep apnea so I can sleep for long. After I wake up in four hours I'm up for 18-20 hours. Plus I have kids to look after and three of them are under the age of two. I can't get sleep even if wanted. Not to mention I work at night for six hours after I make supper.

No, I didn't. I had trouble getting some onto the pan and so some of them would come out funny regardless. But they're for eating and not looking.

Today was much happier than the crazy last two weeks, one of my friends has wanted to get his lip pierced for years and finally decided to do it today. We walked across town to the studio, everyone there was super nice and the lady doing the piercing was great, very fun to talk too.
He had plans to go into town with some friends to the game store but I needed to get back home and work on commission stuff so we stopped at a coffee shop to wait for his ride. Had a good ass latte and hung out a bit after he left with his ride. Walked back home via the waterfront and bought a cookie dough brownie thing. Glad to do something fun with a friend and not just be an art hermit.

That's why I usually don't even bother going out of my way to refrigerate the dough beforehand, but my usual cookie dough mode is to make a huge batch of it so I can just have 3 cookies or so a day. So it's usually refrigerated. Since this is ridiculously self-indulgent, I can't bring myself to do this very often. So if I have an excuse to bring a bunch of cookies to a potluck, I'm definitely going to reserve some of that shit for a week or so of fresh-baked cookies every day.

Stressed as heck. My last day of my current job is tomorrow(well, today since it's past midnight here), and then I start my new one Monday. So not much of a break. I'm hoping I can pick it up quickly and the new job goes well.

More importantly, I think I had mail theft happen to me. I was waiting on an important package of supplies for a craftsperson I do work for. Normally the mail person leaves packages by the back door, which is up a long driveway and out of sight. The last package of supplies was delivered that way. This new one was supposed to come Monday. On Thursday I get antsy and when I look at the tracking number, it supposedly arrived last SATURDAY, "in the mailbox". I had been checking my box and porch daily and saw no such thing. The box they ship stuff in CAN fit my mailbox but its a squeeze. It had arrived while I was working so apparently in the 4 hours I wasn't there someone stole it? Or it was mismarked as delivered but that's unlikely. I feel like it's all my fault even though it's not.

I brought it up, and they asked if I could get it so I can pick it up from the post office feom now on. I'm not sure how that would work, and I don't know if I can get over to the post office to ask until Monday because they're stupidly open only 2 hours Saturdays. So more stress about not knowing what to do.

In more positive things I got a bunch of new herbs and tomatos/peppers to start my potted plant garden up again. I'll be reporting them on my day off.

Could be better, could be worse.

Got a few things going on that are minor annoyances but nothing to raise a fuss over. Works going good, started shopping at lidl. Great place small food market and it's one of the few places that never seems to have empty shelves or supply chain problems (for now)
