How are you doing? - Kiwi Farms Wellness Check

That runs the risk of my application being tossed by a company I would really enjoy working forward
If I may offer my advice, this is the wrong mentality to have. Right now you're just applying, you don't have anything yet. Unless you have a solid offer from this company don't be too serious about the idea of working for them just yet. Getting a job is a numbers game of how many resumes you're submitting, if you aren't applying right now, then keep applying for everything, until you get an interview.

Also didn't you say you were gay before?
I'm the +1 of a friend of the couple, and gay.
Isn't that something you can put down? I've filled out hundreds of these applications before and I'm 90% sure most of them have a section for this. Just write that down, that way you aren't lying and if in your mind you really think this will get you a leg up then write it down.

Fasten your meatbelts...

I was on the porch last night reading the novelization of "How I Got Revenge On A Man By Throwing His Thanksgiving Bird In A Perfect Spiral" when suddenly a large acorn fell from the tree and hit me on the top of the head, causing swelling of my the brain and a greenstick skull fracture to occur which sent shards of bone Fragments into my swollen brain. I dont if a squirrel threw it

The doctors think I am going to become dead.

I answered it the best I could, but my home city is a political warzone so I'm at the mercy of whatever political beliefs the company holds.

That being said, I did an inventory of things I could sell and my game consoles, computer, and car's catalytic converter are the most valuable things I own. I did have a limited edition older console that's worth a few hundred dollars so I'll try selling that. Don't really want to but I haven't played it in some time.
Holy shit, you might as well donate plasma and start crack dealing if you say that shit, even if it's a joke

Pretty sure I'm ineligible for plasma donation, and I don't think you get paid for doing so in Canada. I do have someone I can offer to be a drug mule for, but it's kinda awkward as I was in a relationship with a close friend of his that has recently died.

No i'm no faggot. i'm a Dvorak believer.
Just for the record, not a fan of Symphony X. I just know they use a lot of classical bits in their songs.

All the same I should have thought of this one since I was into Rhapsody and Blind Guardian and a couple others like that a lot when I was younger.
I guess I just fell out of it.

I just learn about all these old bands because I'm interested in the subject matter and I don't need to deal with the old guard since all I do is listen to the songs.

Then let me recommend Blind Guardian, Stratovarius, and Avantasia. Those were the ones I liked back then at least. I'm sure I'm forgetting some. Ayreon, maybe. I suppose some songs by Nightwish and Dragonforce (though that one is more for the meme than anything).

And yet, I could never get into Sonata Arctica, Symphony X, or Helloween. I'd listen to them and get overwhelmed by cringe, which by all accounts should have happened with the whole genre, but no, mainly those.

Going glamping with the meat clan tomorrow. May briefly check in to see how Fatrick's court case goes if I ever get any cell signal.

But otherwise, adios, faggots. See ya in a week. I've got grass to touch and trails to hike.

Watch out for Treesqueaks!

Reactions: Meat Target
my cat only has a few days left most likely and I'm really bent out of shape, like it finally hit me how little time she has and I'm crying please anyone who is of a praying bent please pray she goes peacefully with no further suffering thanks.
losing a good kitty is never easy. praying for a miracle recovery or something like that. my own boy is doing surprisingly well for his age and kidney status so i'll ask him to give you some energy (he will most likely complain that i am not letting him eat grass)

sadly I don't see any miracle other than going peacefully, she's 19 years old I wasn't expecting her to see 2024 and had time to prepare for this but the finality of it is hitting me. She had a piss/shit/vomit attack and hasn't eaten or drank anything since and is hiding herself away.

I'm beyond blessed that she got to see one last summer before giving up the ghost though.

You know sometimes it's the little things that help make your life a little better. I woke up to find a bumblebee trying to get through one of my bedroom windows but it was low on energy so it couldn't fly. Offered it my hand and it climbed up and actually went to sleep on my palm for about ten minutes (fun fact: bugs and spiders can actually tuck in their legs and loaf like cats). Took it outside and let it fly off when it woke up, but man it made me feel really good.
Based bug protector. May the universe repay your good deed 100-fold.

I had to rescue two bees in the last week. One that came inside the house on my pants after I walked through the garden. I didn't notice it until I sat down. Once I did, it scared me to the point that I jumped up and knocked it off onto the floor. I rushed to get the bug-catching net and chased it around for a while, but got it back outside without causing any damage.

The second one was while I was pruning and watering pepper plants. It ended up submerged, so I took a stick and rolled it out of the water into the sunlight. I moved it around with the stick to help it dry off and remove some loose soil. It had to rest there for a little while before being able to fly away.

I've also deported a bunch of spiders from the house recently. I don't mind them being inside during the colder seasons because they stay in a few secluded areas, out of sight and mind, but during the summer they stretch their legs and I've had a few encounters with them crawling on me in the past. They'll end up inside again eventually, and hopefully stay in one place.

It's always a good time helping out the little critters.
