And it is the worst timing. I am hoping it blows through and past as quickly as it came on. I rarely get sick (lol, all the cold remedy stuff I had in the house was expired by a couple of years), and it is messing with my nice groove.

Well, I'm talking more about the fame seeking and needing other people's approval involved somewhere in one own's internal drive. Specifically with (((I am NOT A Jew))) he has artistic inspirations. I've had this sort of conversation with other, older people in the arts, and I and others have found people's tastes and what they enjoy to be so... horrible that I fear that anyone who wants to create something new and unique but is motivated by people admiring their work, you know, the old movie trope of an artist or actor getting good reviews and everything going swimmingly... they're going to be disappointed, that's not the world we can live in anymore. There have been many things I wanted to do in life that I am going to have let pass me by because they require willing collaborators that don't exist.

Basically the movie and music industries are what they are now because of it. Almost every movie or song now is low-IQ, paint-by-numbers crap. Not only just within America but made to also appeal to Chinese and foreign audiences with as little $$$ put in as possible. Everything now is made to be inoffensive and brainless and appealing this horrible monoculture that has been spreading around the world. It's not enough that studios make big profits, they need to make BIG EARTHSHATTERING profits producing absolute dreck. Everything being made is for the widest audience possible and now we have no standards or even expectation of education or intelligence. I could even get into how much editing tricks they've adopted to cut down on costs and as a result everything looks the same--constant jump cuts to mish mash and edit everything together easier.

(It's a random example, but undead in World of Warcraft cinematics never had protruding bones. The reason for that was China and its censorship--many things in media have silently changed to been designed to be inoffensive over seas thanks to globalism. Pixar has self-censored a lot because of China. It's cheaper to make one single product than make two versions that need to be maintained...)

I was reading a youtube comment on a vaporwave youtube video just today that cut at the heart of the matter--shopping malls used to just have little extra things, skylights, places to sit, things that weren't just functional and nice to look at as well. Now everything is bottom dollar, no frills but still expensive, bare-bones, cheaply made. It's been going on in multiple ways for years, everything is being dumbed down, corporate branding and logo is being simplified and flattened, so on and so forth. Finally got a normal urine culture so the pain in my back is and bladder is probably residual. . The pain in my chest is likely costochondritis from two months of coughing. It's gonna take a little while for those things to clear up.

The doctor thinks I may have had RSV instead of pneumonia and the ER just neglected to test for that. I started coughing again but unless I get really sick I'm gonna assume it's just regular winter coughing or residual lung butter trying to be set free. I also overexerted myself running for the bus carrying heavy groceries. I should not be doing that. It seems after this last illness my stamina is shot. I'm still doing normal things. But they are wearing me out way too much. It sucks because this is my time of year and I can't even enjoy it properly.

Ever since I was hospitalized at seven with pneumonia I've had these issues. I almost died. They sent a priest. I've had multiple cases of pneumonia and renal issues. In 2017 I had a severe respiratory infection where every breath felt like I was breathing in fire.

I feel sometimes like it's some Final Destination mindfuck where I shouldn't have survived at seven and God be mad at me.

We certainly have had a worse decade than we should have but people forget that it isn't a natural result of the actual will of the participants. Look at the sales numbers for the MCU post endgame or the Disney Star Wars movies as examples. They either don't make much money or hold high regard in the discourse. There are certainly concerted attempts to make it so that the audience has tastes accustomed to consuming those products but the will isn't there because it's mismatched. Certainly the mass audience is lowbrow but it still seeks something substantive within it and if knows to seek it because something substantive usually exists in it.

It just gets worse and worse. Got referred to Mayo, but Mayo refused to see me, but that was during the pandemic so people suggested I should try again. I'm just so burnt out of doctors and I don't see any good conclusions.

The desperation bothers me worse than the illness.

They do it the wrong way, by pandering*. So instead of the story, setting, characters etc. standing on their own legs and winning you over, they cynically try to put in "representation" and focus on that.

Case in point, Anime usually makes little-to-no effort to pander to audiences outside Japan or even the anime fans in Japan. Video gaming grew huge without the need of pandering.

Just see how for example Blacks and Hispanics love Dragon Ball. It's dumb fun, with touches of honor and staying with the crew. Boom, you have your multi cultural success, no need to make Goku into Hernandez Rodrigez II.

*Also it's fine just to focus on one group and make stuff for them. If you make a Hood drama, just make a hood drama.

I think I might try to get a job as an automotive mechanic apprentice. The things Edison Motors is doing I genuinely find really cool, and in that role I could work towards landing a job a one of their dealers doing conversions. I can likely make use of my machining and technical backgrounds for this role. It'll be hard to do when I have a bad foot and unreliable transportation, but I will heal and I can probably get good tires eventually.
