How are you doing? - Kiwi Farms Wellness Check

My favorite McDonald's I have a coffee at was gutted by The Renovation. Half the floorspace is for pajeet to stand around for doordash, none of the seats are cushioned, they got rid of the window bar AND the fountain drinks/condiments. Fuck this.

I need to do a full audit of what I own, and trying sell what I don't use so if I do end up moving out I can just bring what I need and leave the rest with my roommate or parents.

I need to get out of this city, but I have neither the finances or the resources to do so, and I'm effectively unskilled labour at this point as I seem to have a black mark with my trade due to the long gap in work.

I went to buy a new TV today, and the guy at the store was really nice. Spent an hour talking with me about TVs and helping me pick the right one. Apparently we also share the same taste in waifus.
Felt good to talk to a random friendly person. Can't wait for the new TV to get here.

Kinda related, but before my wife and I bought our bed/mattresses, we went into a few brick and mortar stores to see what we liked, and get a handle on prices.

It's crazy how much the markup is on that shit. Perhaps not so much the case with TVs, but if we'd have purchased from a physical store, we would have been looking at paying an extra 100-125% over what was available online.

My point being, the sales people were incredibly nice and receptive, until they even got the faintest whiff you weren't going to splash cash right at that minute. I get the game, but it was kinda jarring at the time.

Protonmail app finally logged me out of an account I had forgot the password for years ago. It wasn't attached to anything important but there's a few accounts I would have liked to move off of it had I known this would happen. I need to find a new email host to make another "It's more important than junk sign ups but not important enough to use your official email" account. Who's good these days and don't want too much info?

I just set up an alias on my outlook account that automatically gets filtered into its own folder. Then if it gets bloated with spam I can change it - and since I revoked the option of logging into the account with that address it adds a layer of security.

I pay for Proton Mail, so I get access to their Proton Pass app, which is nice because I can make as many of those types of email aliases and logins as I want. It also can work as a password manager, but I prefer KeepassXC.

Yeah America. I probably wouldn't have bothered going into the store if I were just going to buy online, but it just made more sense to buy direct in my situation. They provide a service to deliver and set up the whole TV in my place (so I don't have to do the heavy lifting and risk breaking the TV) and they'll take my old burnt-in TV for free, which is nice. If I just bought from Amazon or something, I'd have to risk some nigger stealing the package from the complex delivery area (since it would be too big to lock in a parcel locker), and I'd have to figure out how to lug the thing all the way up here without breaking it, then lift it onto the stand without breaking it. Plus the old TV still needs to be handled.

Easiest extra shift of my life. Sadly the payout is always 1.5 months later and Ive been unable to land a shift for months now. In some morbid way, I kinda wanna just painmaxx and take as much extra work as I can. I don't spend my time off in a wise manner but I also don't need the money. It's just sort of "something new has to happen".

Came upon some random chick on linkedin. First job: sales assistant. 5 office gigs, then sales assistant again. Even only lasting a year in each job, it's an impressive resume compared to mine. Shit, I only just rounded a year. It feels like Ive finally got (a) career going but I've only been at it for a year.. I should be 3-4 into a relevant job now. I don't mind not being, but jesus christ I fear not being able to get into an office field and just being dropped on the side.

But why? I see hardworking, dirty women who're industrial painters or electricians and they're infinitely more appealing than le nurse with 3 kids with 2 different guys dating a CEO. I don't want big. I want small and passionate. Speaking of, really need to get into my hobbies again.. Something I can sit down with, but everyone I know is from another timezone so there isn't that level of immediate relation. "Oh we both just woke up and are trying to exercise this passion".

Why do you need other people for your hobbies? Hobbies aren't about validation from others.

Trying to explain to house mates that if they literally scream at each other for 12 hours a day they're completely miserable to live with and getting told to move out if you don't like it is really fun.

Apparently it's Sunday. My one interaction with humans last week gave me a cold/flu/COVID/plague that started Friday morning so I slept through Friday afternoon until now with my friend NyQuil. Will watch some TV and then go back to sleep so I can pretend to be functional tomorrow for the couple meetings I need to be at(virtually).

So much for whatever projects I wanted to work on this weekend.
