just filed my income taxes and apparently I have a $5,000 refund? I used netfile and it pulled everything from the CRA instead of me entering everything by hand (the only correction was checking "not in quebec" on one line).

well that helps. Either I can use it towards my own vehicle so i don't have to share, or I can pay off my student loan and have a little left over

technically you're already paid them and may or may not have overpaid. I guess because I made a fuckton of money for five weeks but was unemployed most of the year I got a bigger refund.

Granted this is Canada, so I can just log into my uFile account, have it pull everything from the CRA, I proofread the data it pulled and make any corrections or clarifications it warns about, and then if I owe money I can just not pay the $20 to submit my tax return.

Hopefully the last ever update on Lolcow friend, once he realized that I unfollowed him everywhere he proceeded to block me everywhere, and sent me one last text wall including:

I have cleaned this guy's room, attempted to teach him to cook, held his hand while he got a lip piercing done, bought his mom a plant for Valentine's Day (which she loved, last time I talked to her she said it was still alive and very tall now) put up with so much whining,
and the thing he is going to bat for is POKEMON GO. I'm actually not sure what the $10 even has to do with me, but that's what my help is worth apparently.

On a happier note, yesterday at work I ran into a guy who used to go to the Teen Center I worked at ~5 years ago. He recognized me and apologized for being "really loud and obnoxious". He was neither of those things, he was actually one of the more polite kids and I was happy to see one of the kids again.

I follow a few Chinese learning/Mandarin pages on Instagram, as I'm learning whenever I can. One of them has recently been posting about some dancing nigger called 'iShowSpeed,' typical nigger shit, jumping and dancing and carrying on, I figured it was some fucking nobody, flavour of the month jig.

Eventually search the name on Instagram:

'32.3 million followers.'

I am well and truly behind the times, ladies and gentlemen.

It is however just another contemporary instance of white people utterly worshipping niggers, for reasons.

I had a strange experience recently.
A guy came in looking for a paint color called Aegean Teal.
He had a left over can of it, so he wanted another quart.
Except instead of saying Aegean Teal, he said Anti Semite.
It was flipping weird.
He looked Jewish, I think he was, but whatever.
He must have read my mind.

Well, had my first night shift at my new job, and... it was a bit mixed. The job itself was fairly simple, but there's a LOT more stuff that I need to remember for it; not to mention, it drags on and on and on, felt like it genuinely wouldn't end last night. I was wondering if I could get transferred over to the day shift, if possible; night shift is a LOT quieter, but the day shift would probably be a bit easier for both my sleep schedule and general day-to-day. I dunno, we'll just have to wait and see. At least my co-workers are nice.

Aside from that, had a small breakthrough on my writing recently, made the call to take what was originally the introductory scene and move it to a flashback/backstory moment later in the overarching storyline, which works pretty well. Hit another roadblock though, this one being "what should happen in this new introduction": the plot kicks off with our Average Joe of a protagonist waking up in debris, in the immediate aftermath of a terror incident that occurred while he was at work - not entirely sure what he needs to do in this sequence as of yet, especially since the plot also requires him to be in another city later that same day/the following day, for certain reasons. Still, it's a work in progress, and I'll think of something.

That's actually not a good thing. Prohibiting oneself from expressing negative emotions leads to depression, it is "anger directed inwards" like Freud once said. Doesn't mean that you need to start shit with people at every opportunity, but keeping it to yourself doesn't make it any good either.

I dropped a friend I'd had for almost 50 years. Sometimes you realize that they are emotional vampires (and alcoholics who still think they're in their 20's ) who aren't worth the energy.
If you find yourself doing favors for someone, as you did for your ex friend, and it's not reciprocated, cut them off.
I'm sorry you went through that.

I just looked him (It) up. I feel like the damn 60's are still haunting us.
Does that make sense? Before, the feeling was, keep these people away from us.
I feel like this cannot go on forever. People are noticing that blacks will defend other blacks even when they're obviously guilty. I def don't hate all of them (one of my fav bosses is black) but the ones that act like urbanites I cannot abide.
