I hope you are a teenager. Can't you find something that pays more than minimum wage. That is the worst job, go work for Walmart.

Not great. Not in a good place, mentally. But I always remember the advice I was once given and love to pass on to others - sometimes bad things are like a cloud, and you just have to let it pass by. You can't stop it from passing but you can keep yourself from freaking out over it. So I'll let the bad things pass and hope for a sunny day soon.

Whenever I did restaurant work dish shifts were my favorite. I'd drink all the diet pop I wanted and could skip a workout the next day.

Yeah... remember that semi infamous Jimmy nuteron episode men at work? Where the sodium chloride meme came from? I wanna believe it's like that. Jimmy really should have been fired the first time he screwed up and yet skeet have him multiple second chances. I guess I have one too, only saved from losing yet another job by virtue of showing I can do something useful around the place and I'm a dependable hard worker.
 
TIL pouring too much rubbing alcohol into mechanical keyboard switches can break the entire board. At least I got four years of use out of my STRAFE...

There is a confirmed case of COVID-19 in my neighbourhood. Yee-haa, now we are playing on Hard, baby! Fuck, I hope they aren't going to close my gym.
 
I'm frustrated.

We're currently looking for a new place to live for a ton of reasons. And we found something that looked legit, felt legit with no red flags at first etc. Then suddenly the 'landlord' hits us with the typical "you cannot visit right now, because I live in London, but I can arrange for you to visit with a neighbor if you throw some money into my account here blablabla".

Fuck's sake. I hate scammers. Mainly because they're wasting my time.

Saw my ma earlier today, had lunch with her and most of my family after having not seem them in a while. Still just wish she'd get off my case about going back to school and getting am associate's degree and a "career." I almost wish she knew about the lol cows this site documents including Chris, sockness and Tommy. Just so she can get an idea of how much worse she can have it having a son still working a dead end job in a small apartment compared to having...them for son's/daughters.


Yeah to everyone who is at odds with their parents over how their lives turned out, tell them to imagine being Barbra weston chandler or sock head's mother (does he even still talk to his parents anymore?) Then reconsider how your kids turned out.

he can't stop crying, but we're all coming from a good place and he knows that. The problem is that he's so fucking stubborn. He KNOWS what's happening is terrible. He's in an abusive relationship and is trying to tell himself it's fine.

I wish you amd your family well that you guys manage to get through to him. That shit fucking sucks and its worse when its happening to a relative.

You seem to be a good person. Nothing wrong with working an honest job and paying your own apartment. Too many parents judge their kids negatively when the kids are doing good.
