How do I buy a 1 year subscription on Xbox?

Okay, I have ultimate game pass on the Xbox and it charges me every month, how do I buy a 1 year subscription so that it does not charge me every month? I tried to do it first online on my phone and then tried doing it on the Xbox itself and honestly it seems like Microsoft and the xbox are actually fighting me trying to stop me from buying the 1 year subscription and I honestly don’t know why
