How do I get a girlfriend?

Well, since you're inexperienced we'll start simple.

Go to your local community college with a sign stating you are looking for a boyfriend free girl, with your basic standards listed. Do that a couple hours a day, just watch out for any old hag administrators.

1) Don't be unattractive. You don't need to be perfect, but try not to have any glaring flaws.
2) College (or maybe high school) is by far your best opportunity.
3) Your odds may be shit but if you're playing for keeps, you only need to get lucky once or twice.
4) If you can, focus on making friends of both sexes, and developing a healthy social network. It is extremely obvious, transparent, creepy, and offputting to men and women alike when you're only being friendly to get in a girl/any girl's pants.
5) Getting friendzoned (assuming it really is a friendship) means you now have a female friend that can be a valuable source of information and advice on these topics. And she may have cute friends. This can be annoying or creepy done wrong though, so be careful and sensitive to her boundaries.
6) If you can't genuinely do 4 and you're only open to romance/sex, not friendship, your best bet to avoid being creepy is to be open about that early/from the start. Don't try to creepily worm your way in as her best friend or some shit like that.
7) Accept that not everyone gets a happy ending. Failure to internalize this can actively cause you to fuck it up when some girl is kinda into you and you're creepy or desperate or weird or needy because of these hangups. It's cliche, but being ok dying a virgin helps you get laid.
8) Most people want to fuck and most people want a LTR. If there's nothing severly wrong with you and you are successfully out and meeting people, your odds are decent.

What they believe you can provide for them in the future. Your current situation is irrelevant. Understand what they want and coerce them into believing you can make that a reality.

Go out to a heavily populated area (malls, parks, college campuses, etc.) with a large and colorful sign that categorically lists all the things you're looking for in a potential girlfriend. Be sure to specify that you're looking for a BOYFRIEND-FREE girl so there isn't any confusion.
 
Are you taking the piss? You can’t be serious. Don’t you have friends that date? This thread sounds like a fishing expedition; I can’t believe anyone would sincerely actually post a thread on this and be serious.
 
Read as many PUA and seduction guru blogs as you can, but absolutely make sure to buy their premium deluxe packages and self-published books on how to get laid. This is bound to work. Maybe throw something my way as a finder's fee since I put you onto this little known trick.
