how do i make VLC into a music player

on the home page theirs a picture of it being a music player but i have no clue how to make it look that way how do i make VLC look better also wheres the homepage when i start it up it only shows the cone on a black background

I wouldn't recommend VLC as a music player, there's a way better one called MusicBee. But if you really want to use VLC, you can change your layout on the settings. There's also custom layouts that you can download as far I remember.

Just use winamp or something. There's no point in trying to use VLC that way. Though VLC can extract mp3 files from videos so that's a tangentially related use for it.

Doesn't windows 10 (the earlier ones at least) come with Groove music pre-installed?
That's always been my go-to for playing music.
VLC is for the movies and meme videos.
